Middletown Country Club

Used to play this course many times for many years. Played three years ago and it was awful. Played twice this year and it seems that they have been doing some good work. Greens rolled nicely and some dead trees removed. Overall, pleasantly surprised for the conditions.

We were greeted by friendly staff members that explained the basics of where to get and return the golf carts, and kept us on track for our tee time. We got started right away and found the course pleasantly challenging. Unlike many courses, we noticed bathrooms throughout the course, which was a great amenity. We will be back to play here again.....soon.

I love playing Middletown. They have great staff who take care of the players. They have been making upgrades to the course. They did however have some kids come and mess us some of the greens which thee staff has been doing a great job at trying to fix this issue.

The course was in good shape. I went out at 9am and was done at 2pm on a holiday

Tee boxes are no longer sand traps. But are overgrown or just neglected. Greens parts are good other parts are severely hurt. For the price you’d think it would be better.

Been going here for years. And i think we are all going to take a pause. The greens are / have been messed up for at least 2 yrs now from dirt bike damage., and no sign of it getting better.The tee boxs are all a mess. They all either all overgrown or just bare dirt and weeds . The cart paths for the most part are in terrible condition. Full of potholes or just crumbling.

Its a shame this was our place to go all the time. Was full of great people. But can't justify it now for what they are charging now for a round.. sorry guys,,, just being honest.

The course layout was very interesting and challenging. A lot of changes in elevation. Fairways were ok, still showing signs of aeration. Tee boxes were overgrown. Pace of play was very good. Got a great deal on Golf Now. I would play again because the layout was so interesting

The course was in terrible condition. Both the greens and the fairways. We played as a threesome when the course was crowded, and we waited for the group in front of us on practically every shot. This you expect when you play on a Saturday, but what you don't expect or appreciate is when one of the course rangers rudely tells you to keep up with the group in front of you when you just got done waiting for them. I live 10 minutes away from this course and will never play here again.

The greens weren’t in the best shape, even with realizing they just aerated , still in bad shape; quite a few were brown and beat up. Horrible place to putt. Also the first cut rough was so thick we were losing balls unless you were standing right on top of it. Forget about hitting out of it. Would be a decent course if better maintained

The round started off great with a friendly conversation with the starter and a few nice holes of decent pace. Then things turned quickly after about five holes. On several occasions, the ranger aggressively raced up next to us and just STARED at as we were taking a shot. We had groups right in front of us so we couldn't play any faster. We also had people hitting into us constantly because there are a few drivable par 4's. Finished the round in 3:20 and felt incredibly rushed. Heavy swarms of gnats on every tee box. Several greens were atrocious. It felt like playing winter conditions despite it being August. Hard to believe they charge $80 on a weekend. I would love for this course to be better. It has potential. But no one seems interested in making that happen.
