Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Golfer Reviews
Course Needs TLC
Tee boxes, fairways and select greens not in great shape. Lots of bare spots. People I played with are regulars and said the course suffered a lot over the past month.
old and tired
The golf course itself is a little old and tired and perhaps it needs a face lift more than just conditioning, that has not been the greatest the last two years. Nothing has been done to it in years. Start with adding tee areas and go on to rebuilding bunkers that drain and will hold sand and can be maintained not turn into hard pan. Design wise I am sure a course designer could spruce it up.
Needs Work
The greens were in relatively good shape except they had been recently punched, sanded and rolled. This make it quite difficult to judge the speed. Maybe in a few weeks that will get sorted out.
The fairways and rough were in good shape.
Some of the tee boxes were the worst I think I have ever seen. Not that big a deal and probably a victim or priorities.
Starter was friendly. Let's see, we went out behind a man and his grand-daughter and several foursomes of high school players. Fortunately, the HS'ers only played nine. Still we got around in decent time.
need combo tees
Course needs to set up combo tees for white and gold. Many holes are playable for average golfer from white tees but a handful are too long. At least two of the par 3 holes are too long along with perhaps five par 4s. The two par 5's could be on that list as well. Crabgrass on many tees a mess but fairways and greens are good.
Great course
It is one of the best courses in Bucks county. Great layout with water and sand, and in good condition. Greens recently aerated and have some sand on them.
good course...
I found this course online as it was only 30 minutes from my home and was presently surprised. Good condition, pretty straight forward, not much trouble to encounter (except for an almost unfair ending par 3 on 18), ranger keeping the pace at the end of 9, just an enjoyable track, would highly recommend.
It's OK, but....
Overall it was not that good for the money you pay. The T boxes were not that good, Some were overgrown with crab grass and they were not mowed. Others were not level, so when you were getting ready to T off, you could feel you were not balanced. Then there were those that we not even mowed or they were over soaked and mushy. The Greens were in really bad shape, not rolled, torn up, full of divots (people have not repaired), not cut right, some areas were cut too short, dirt showing. When you putted the ball bounced all the way to the whole.Fairways were the best part and that was not per the reputation of the course. Overall the course looks like they are not caring for the course and shutting down for winter. Not good, questionable if I would play there again.
Not the best golf experience
The grass was very high, the pace was slow. Only got in 11 holes due to holdups.
Improving conditions
Since the course went from a family owned facility (YOU NEED TO ALTER YOUR PREVIEW) to being township owned the physical facility has slowly showed signs of improving in conditioning and upkeep of the course. The greens are smooth and fast. Hoping at some point bunkers get rebuilt and filled with sand and cart paths are redone.
Nothing to do with course
Someone at golf now tried ti charge my card for 299 dollars. You people need to fix that. Or i will invest my time to fugure it out. Thank u
