Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Great Bucks/Montco area course
Very friendly staff and the course is well maintained. The layout plays fairly long from the back tees and is a nice challenge for the mid-low hc. No grass range however, only mats.
Wish they had told me
The greens had just been aerated. usually you are told this before you book a round, or a discount price is charged. Ohter than that the course and the facility are a very good value
nice layout greens in good condition
played here many times, has some challinging holes. greens in very good conditions for this tie of year.drving range is an after thought . irons only hit off mats in netted off area between 6th &10th holes. good deal through golf now. otherwise the $65 plus is abit much
This course plays to slow.
The course is a descent course but to many walkers and the play is way to slow.
nice course
Nice course. However customer service from the staff is terrible. They only seem to care about making money not doing right by there customer.
Not bad for this time of year
With the rain from the previous day there was some standing water on some of the greens. Also the greens were rather bumpy which for this time of year is expected. The greens here are normally in extremely good condition.
Way Behind,,, old looking
Not a good start< I got to the course very early. 45 mins early. And the first thing I find out ,,, that my tee time was pushed back over 30 mins, No Ranger, No staff to help speed up play. No I wont be back, $40 bucks, for a chip and putt course,, And I drove about 50 miles or so to play it, I should have stayed home..................
well maintained course
Far too many groups were booked and it resulted in very slow play lessening the enjoyment of the round.
Well maintained but overbooked and unfriendly.
Not worth the money! I normally walk but a cart was part of the deal and I was surprised that it made 18 holes!
I like the water hazards in the back nine.Hole 14 is a great challenge. It had plenty of short par 4's to make par or birdie.
It has very friendly staff.Considering that it was cold and in the beginning november the course was in good shape. The range is in an odd place between the 6 hole and the 10 hole. It didn't affect my play but, looks weird.A little far and pricy without the use golf now.I would rather go to my home course bensalem or makefield highlands if I had to pay full price.
would Not pay the "regular" rates ONLY "hot deal"
Mike at the Counter was great , the owner is Cheap
Enough challenging holes to make it interesting. The layout of the course was good.
I give this course an A. I played the course both recreational and participating in a Golf Outing. The service provided for the outing was top notch for a public course. The food was great.
Course is very good condition
Course is very good condition, well maintained. Pace of play was somewhat slow but on typical for this course.
Great condition
The course is in great condition. A Tuesday afternoon in October and it wasn't busy. A little pricey unless you have some sort of discount. Nice facilities. Very fast greens. Course seems to play long.
The couses was fair.
Had a good time but would not pay full rate for this course. To EXPENSIVE.
good course-good value
good golf at a good price. not cheap or pretencious. well maintained course with some interesting holes. played quickly in spite of a full tee sheet. i was visiting in the area and played as a single. the counter person was accomidating and introduced me to my playing partners. i will play here again.
Very playable...Great old style course
Worth the trip from Central PA...would put on a must play list...will revisit
Attitude
Over the years this course has the reputation of having an attitude. Play is always slow for starters even as they make the pretense to keep things moving. It should not take 5 hours to play any course let alone a par 70 6100 yard golf course. If you phone they will say come up and we will get you out and when you get there there are a million people on the first tee. Also they have outings at odd times and it has been my experience that these have interferred with general play in that you don't know you will be behind one until you get there and tee off with 5 hours or daylight and play the 16th hole in the dark as your last hole. That said, it isn't a bad golf course for the average golfer to play.
