Northampton Valley Country Club
About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Do over
I'd like a do over now that I understand how the course plays.
It’s the small things
Nice course but they (like other area courses) could have someone blow the leaves off the greens. It would not take alot of effort but course care and the customer experience seems to be a bit secondary now-a-days.
Price
I was charged the weekend rate for a Thursday afternoon tee time. Why?
Friendly course
Great local course. Not a destination location. Way too much happening surrounding the course for most of the holes. Constructions for surrounding houses and local school event. Almost feel like one of the LIV golf event.
Also course layout is tight. Had to wait for someone playing from another hole for 4 times. (That tells me that you can also be hit with the balls coming from other holes)
Decent green. Bunkers dont look like they have been raked in a week. Rough is deep but not going to break your wrist.
There is a range only for irons. (Needs some improvement)
Pace of play was outstanding. Less than 4hrs on a Sat.
Probably will not go back from NYC. unless need to be in the area
Rough
Greens were slow and bumpy, rough was heavy but with thin spots causing ball to settle down.
Cutting grass during rain didn’t seem appropriate
Will try there again
Almost Perfect Day
We had a foursome and played 18 holes in 4.5 hours. Pace was good. Course was in good condition. Only issue was the greens were painfully slow and the bunkers hadn't been raked (we had an AM tee time). Leaves were the biggest reason for slower pace, but that's expected with Fall golf. Attendant did a great job cleaning our clubs at the end of the round.
Getting better all the time
I have not played this course in two years, but it’s in really great shape considering what it was back then people that took over really putting a lot of time and energy taking care of this course. They seem to have a good group of people working on it and a lot of people out there doing that the day I played, the greens are pretty fast, even though it was a little bit rainy that day the starter Matt I think his name was excellent. I will definitely recommend this course all types of golfers because of the different key boxes. enjoy
BB Northampton
I play this course regularly. It was in good shape except a couple tee boxes were beat up. Fairways were in good shape. Greens had some residual sand on them.
There has been much improvement with drainage and sand in the bunkers over the last two years.
Walking during twilight
To many walkers for twilight tee times. Could barely get 9 holes in with a twosome one walking and a foursome all walking playing skins. Pace of play was horrible.
