Greens were trash. Not just just-aerated, but scabby..

this course has a fun layout with challenging par 3's and some risk reward par 4 holes. The greens are horrendous and have lots of dirt/sand patches on them and weed clusters. Legitimate Putting isnt possible so we played 2 putt max rule unfortunately. There are several holes where the tee is a green astro turf matt that has been there for 100 years and in bad shape.

This course upset me because I really like the layout, but the conditions are just bad. I thought things were getting better under the new ownership, but I left pretty disappointed.

The greens were spotty, with a lot of dry and dirt patches, and the tee boxes were even worse. You were basically hitting off dirt or rough on a lot of holes. For a course that isn’t very long and doesn’t require you to pull driver often, having rough, uneven tee boxes made it much harder to play than it should have been.

That said, the hot deal price made the conditions not hurt as bad.

The guys in the pro shop were really nice too!

Ingleside is fine because it’s relatively inexpensive compared to the courses in the area. That said, most of the greens are not great and the tee boxes are in poor condition. So it’s kind of a pay for what you get situation.

This course was not worth the money for the condition of faraway and green. Extra thick grass in rough.

Was let go for awhile now you can see improvement all over course the greens we’re in bad shape now half in good putting conditions some need a little more love

I really enjoy playing golf at Ingleside. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. It's exactly what it needs to be, relaxed, peaceful, playable, affordable. The conditions have improved recently as well. Some of the holes are really good. No. 2 has got to be one of the harder short 4s around. I wish the halfway house between 9 and 10 would get restored, though.

Horrible course conditions. Weeds up to your knees in every bunker. Bare spots on greens. Overall very disappointing.

It's a great price, it's close by, and they let me bring my 3 yr old son for free so this is my go-to course. It really is fun. Sure the tee boxes are pretty rough, and often it's hard to find your ball in the rough because of the clovers, but I'll keep coming back.

Tee boxes are rough, greens are rough, very few fairways and they are not nice. The grass is not sprayed for weeds. Just overall the course is not taken care of like it should be.

I hate to rate this course so low because it’s interesting and has good bones. The poor rating is due to the poorly maintained grass. Clover (weeds) is everywhere, and it’s thick. Bunkers are weed filled and missing sand. Fairways are missing on some holes. If ownership would mow and maintain, the course could be a “5” but in its current condition it’s a “2”.

Not gonna lie, I was very worried to play this course after seeing the recent reviews. I haven’t played here since 2022 and the greens were unplayable, fairway was rough height, and almost all the tee boxes were dirt or mats. I had a great time there today. It was packed and we finished in just over 4 hours. Back 9 greens are still pretty rough but playable and clear to see they’re working on it. Bunkers are under repair” so free drop. I did hear last week, the fairways weren’t cut low, but they were fine this week. Couple holes with a bit thicker than I’d prefer, but still good. I don’t think it’s a $60 course yet, but I understand they need to make money to keep working on it. I’ll be coming back to play here every once in awhile to see the progress.

TLDR - if you used to play this course and remember how bad it was, it’s gotten much better. If you’ve never played here, set realistic expectations for a course that is trying to bring it back after years of neglect

This course is in terrible condition at every aspect. Not a place I like to play, avoid this course if you can

Way too many weeds that hide the ball.

Too many greens that were choppy.

If you’d like to play alongside a flock of geese at every hole this course is for you. Geese poop everywhere. It’s a course that’s like if you playing in the backyard. No clear fairways. Tee boxes are crater fields. One tee box is off a mat after walking up 46 steps. Poison ivy infested as well. People should be paid to play here instead of paying to play here.
