Meadowbrook Golf Course

This city owned and run muni course has always been top rated with in South Dakota. The 18 hole course falls just under 7000 in length and is easily walk able. However we have found that very few people walk this great course and choose to play “speed” golf on the carts. As with most muni courses there seems to always be a line at the starter. However the start at the course we have found runs a tight ship and keeps the pace moving along even with walkers/ riders trying to co-exist. The course is typically maintained for a city owned course. The roughs are usually fairly deep and the greens seem to run a little drawer by mid day. This course has had several renovations over the past several years including bunker and tee enhancements as well has additions to some of their practice facilities. Decent muni course with lots of traffics.

I would have rated this course higher but for the fact that it was almost completely devoid of signage. There are absolutely no hole designations on any tee boxes and as a first time player it would have been very frustrating had there not been a group ahead of us we could follow.

Had a great time. Course was in great shape and we were a second time visitor.

The coarse was a fun day for all of us. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

This is one of my regular course I play greens are fast and pure fairways are outstanding. The only complaint I have is with pace of play. There tee times are bunched a little too close together so it causes a lot of delays. I typically play 18 in under 3 hours and it usually takes 5-6 hours here especially on a weekend.

Although the wind was blowing hard and thunderstorms threatened, we managed to get in a great round of golf at Meadowbrook. The course was very well groomed, freshly mowed and it was impressive. Pace of play on the front nine was slower than the back nine, but as a twosome, we expected some delays.

Overall, we recommend Meadowbrook as a great public course in Rapid City - fun and a bit challenging, too.

Was a Friday, 90 plus degrees, and no beverage cart on the course. Why? I thought that was unacceptable. Was charged for my spouse just to ride in the cart, not golfing, just riding along. Also felt that was unacceptable. Have golfed all over the U.S. and have NOT been charged for spouse to ride in cart that was included in the price I paid.

The weather was perfect and the course is in very good to excellent condition. No one held us up and no one was pushing us so it was a very fun and relaxing round of golf. Meadwobrook is a beautiful course with lots of mature trees and a river running through it. We met some nice people too. All in all a perfect day.

This is an awesome course with a lot of hazards. Highly recommend very good time

We were behind a VERY slow group of 3, walking, so took way longer to finish.

Nice course for the money. The only negative was the amount of leaves on the course made it quite difficult to find the balls, but being this time of year and the amount of disedious trees on the course, it is understandable. Even saw a guy catching a small brown trout on the creek that winds through the course.

a great deal on a great course with great weather, what more can I say. Wish my game matched:)

Course is nice for a public course but the services at the restaurant/snack bar was terrible.

Good value using Golf Now. Will play again. Some challenging holes.

Got behind a foursome of slow pokes who were supposedly playing in a tournament. Doubtful by the poor shots they were hitting. Took forever with every shot. Marshal came by three times and told us the pace was fine. 4.5 hours is not fine. The whole situation was ridiculous. Do not play here.
