Lake Tansi Resort

Well what to say about Lake Tansi. Cource is very short and not maintained , rangers are rude and overbearing! Pro shop guy treated me as if I stole something.
Those people need to work on there people skills
I'm from the great state of TN and am very proud of my heritage and our culture of being polite , curtious and having at the very least Manners !
The staff at Lake Tansi have none of these qualities!

Definitely the best course this year! Good for all type players, except 300 yard hitters. Lol Not real long but challenging fairway placements. No fairway grass burnout! Greens were in the best condition I've seen this year. All of them! Worth a trip from Knoxville. We will be back real soon. ***** COURSE :)

This is a great course for any golfer. The maintenance is superb! Staff is very friendly, we felt like we were at our home course. Greens in good condition but can have challenging pin placements. Overall a nice course that plays well if you stay in fairways. Rough and line of site from trees make you pay!

Course is compact and not very challenging. But, leaves were beginning to cover the fairways and greens . Did not see any blowers or mowers on the course attempting to remedy the natural challenge.

we caught it on a day they didn't mow the tees. rough was deep and challenging. greens and fairways were excellent. pace of pay was slow with a 5 1/2 hr. round. very nice weather and beautiful scenery made for a great day.

Great course but different grass. The ruff is easy to loose many balls. Stay in the fairway.

First few holes are rather mundane and conditions not quite up to a good standard. However the holes get more interesting further into the holes. Overall a good test of your game. Greens were very slow.

Pace of play (4 some) < 4 hours!!!!! Practice = mats booo! Good decent course that was a great value @ $20/player. 15 minutes from Crossville.

Course was a little soft but in very good shape. Cart was clean and in good shape. Person behind the counter made me and my partner feel about as welcome as the plague. VERY unfriendly and unwelcoming. Checked in about 10:30 on 09/28. The starter was very friendly, After the round the restaurant people very friendly, different person behind the counter as we were leaving very friendly. The course played well, had to hit a lot of shots moving both ways. It was a good challenge

great deal from Golf Now - pace of play was a little slow as we play ready golf but it seemed that several groups in front of us had never heard of that concept.
Greens were perfect speed despite that they had been aerated 3-4 weeks ago. We played this course twice and the 2nd time, we were moving very well until the back nine then it got very slow and really disrupted the flow of our golf.

Played on a hot deal from Golfnow. Slow play. Lots of retirees. A little muddy so played lift clean and place. Played from the white tees.

Course had a nice layout. Greens were recently aerificated, but putted fairly true. Greens held nicely and were large. Several water holes. Some holes had narrow fairways but most were forgiving. Fair number of sand traps. Five different tee choices. 19th hole was very good. Driving range was limited to 225 yards.

I always like playing Tansi. It is a fairly easy play but has it challanges. We were fortunate on the Saturday we played that the foursome in front of us let us play through after 5 holes. We were not slowed down again till the 18th hole. Slow play (ok my friend and I play fast) is usually a turn off at Tansi but not the day we played!!

The fairways and bunkers were in great shape. The rough was thick and difficult to get out of (not the norm, the rain delayed mowing). The green had been airated a few days earlier but were already starting to heal.

We had a great time!

Fast pace and very hospitable. We arrived and was able to play 18 holes in less than 4 hours.

Played 18 as a threesome. The course was in good condition and led to good speed of play. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our round.

Only negative about the day was that the last 4 holes took longer to play than the front nine because of slow play! Retired Lake Tansi golfers are in no hurry! But overall, I would definitely recommend playing here. Course was in great shape!
