Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Great views, just need a professional greens keeper. Photo submitted by HgaGolf on 10/06/2013
Fun layout, could be 4.5 stars with some TLC and better tee time management
Enjoyed the course once we teed off. Had 5 foursomes in front of us to tee off on #1 so we were 45 minutes late off the box. If they can figure that out and spend a few bucks on the fairways, this could be a real hidden gem.
Soggy but fun
Nashville has received a ton of rain lately so the course was almost underwater. All things considered though, it was a nice track. Medium length from the back tees and interesting layout. The greens were the best thing about the course and they rolled true all day. One big downer is the lack of a restaurant. I held off getting food before my round expecting to grab a sandwich at the course only to be told the restaurant closed down two weeks ago. Had a lot of fun though and is very much worth the money.
After rain
The course had a very nice layout. Will go back for sure. But let after 9 holes. Due to the course was under so much water. You couldn't make a shot without getting muddy. Maybe they would of told us if we didn't book it on golfnow.
Great time
We always have a great experience with the course personnel and we love the greens. They were in great shape. Looking forward to my next round.
Cold, but great time
I am never disappointed playing Twelve Stones even when it is 30 degrees on the course. The greens are in very good shape as well as the fairways and they played well. Enjoyed playing with the twosome I was paired with and we had a great time. Can't wait to see what the course will look like later this year when they start redoing the bunkers and doing away with some others. The course should be really good with fast greens. Can't wait for warmer weather.
Cold, overcast, winter day
Spoke with the pro and the greens keeper. Both were friendly and informative. Got right out without a tee time about 8:30 a.m. Course was wet but drained well despite 5 inches of rain in the last two days. No plugged balls. Did lose a ball in green side bunker that had not drained. Greens were perfect, smooth and true. Many subtle breaks. Stay below the hole! Greens were not cut this a.m. and sprinkles wet them, and still fairly fast (except uphill into the grain, then remarkably slow). Course layout is varied and interesting. Some phenomenal views (walkers beware--over 1,000 vertical, and some significant walks between holes). I played the second-to-back tees and course played long--given lack of roll. Plenty of water hazards and hilly lies to keep you on your toes. Fun course -- I recommend it heartily.
Winter solstice
Fairways were wet, greens in excellent shape . Cart-path only and no apparent ranger slowed play significantly.
A good round for the first day of winter.
Great strides
This course used to be one of our favorites many years ago. The course went through tough times for years and went into disarray. The new owners have put live back into the property and the golf course. The course is in wonderful condition and only getting better. Look forward to playing golf there soon.
Great all around good time
Great staff and ALWAYS accommodating. I always tell my friends to give this course a try. Love my adopted hometown course
12 Stones Crossing
Played on 12-5-17, Probably one of their busiest days this year, beautiful day, 68 degree s and sunny. Can't get any better than this for December. Everyone else seemed to think so also as we are forecast for several days of bad weather. Also wind was blowing 15-25 miles per hour so this was slowing pace of play down also so all things considered it was a beautiful day to play and everyone was moving as good as they could so while you waited to play the next hole, you just looked around and enjoyed the beautiful course and the beautiful day. Expect slow play when all these conditions happen at the same time and jus t relax and enjoy the day. Course was in excellent shape and fun to play.
Great value for the money and course is improving....
12 Stones was in bad shape a few years ago with weed-filled fairways and burnt greens. After a few ownership changes, the course is greatly improved and getting better every time I play. The greens are now the best in the area. The course is hilly with a few challenging holes and wonderful vistas. And the staff is very friendly and accomodating.
Not what is used to be
This course is greatly improved and not what it was just a few years ago... Greens are excellent, fairways and rough are in great shape.. Layout is challenging but really fair... Don't ignore this course!!!
Really need to play here!!!
Great course! It’s not in bad shape greens are fast you will love it..
twelve stones crossing
Nice course. got to play with 2 exceptional guys today. I had a great time, course was in excellent shape and I found it to be very challanging. I will try it again. Play this course, you will love it.
Nice and challenging course.
I have played this course twice and I really enjoy the rolling and scenic layout . The course was in good condition with fast greens. I look forward to playing this course again.
Still challenging the second time playing
I was fortunate to play with some great golfers. I really enjoyed my round even though the course was still tough for me. I’ll be back!
Love it
I really enjoyed the course elevation and the super nice greens. The bunkers are in the work but won’t keep me from coming back.
Nice course
Because of Golf Now I now consider this my home course even though I live 20 miles away.
