Saturday morning play at Lafollette Country Club
I really don't like to speak negative about a course, but the following was factual. There were groups of 5,6,or more on nearly every other hole. The approaches just off the fairways even around the greens, and definitely around most tee boxes were unkempt and nearly knee high with weeds. The pace of play was genuinely painful due to the large groups playing together, and caused us to skip at least 6 holes just to keep moving. If your ball found its way out of the fairway it was lost more often than not, due to the height of the rough cut just off the fairway. I can't say that I will play this course again, most definitely not anytime soon. But that being said the staff and players are friendly and seem to be good people, they just need to make some type of changes in maintenance practices and play management.
Nice cheap course.
Great place to play, they're doing some work along the fairways and some greens so some super rough spots. But always friendly and somewhat challenging course layout.
Shut it down
Close it. I’ve never seen anything like that before in my life.
Local patrons.
The local patrons were beyond rude, on the other hand the staff went above and beyond to make our visit to their course enjoyable.
Good 9 Hole
Good 9 hole course. Friendly staff. Good value for the money.
Course was challenging, tee boxes were not level. We were there with a few new golfers, place was empty so perfect place to learn.. Staff was friendly and helpful.. No alcohol beverages sold. Would go back again perfect for the price.
Course was closed but allowed us to book a tee time
I need a full refund! Booked our tee time for 8AM. No cars in the parking lot, not a single cart queued up, all the lights were off in the pro shop and the door was locked. I could hear the phone ringing inside when I called from outside. Called Greens at Deerfield from the parking lot and got a tee time over there instead.
Country Club
This place puts the country in country club and the name is definitely misleading. Pretty rugged conditions and the cart paths are like an off-roading adventure. No clubhouse worth mentioning. There are no start times so everyone is just stacked up and the pace of play is excruciatingly slow. The layout is fun but I’ll stick to the courses around Knoxville from now on.
