Champions Golf Course

Some tee boxes had a lot of crab grass. Greens were soft due to rain and many marks were not taken care of by golfers. A shame. Fairways were well maintained. Weather was a bear. Extremely hot and muggy. Was beat after 14 holes.

Really nice course. Manicured really. I don’t want my review to reflect my score. I shot terrible. One of my worst scores. I’m not sure how challenging the course was or how bad I was just shooting. But the course layout was awesome. Had some good hills and very approachable greens. I will be back.

Everything about the course itself was great. The pro shop and lady at the snack bar were terrific. They both had smiles to share. The pace of play on the front was right on time but the back was close to 3 hours which is way too slow.. I also noticed a player in a tee shirt and gym shorts. That is not golf attire.

Tees, fairways, greens were great! Bunkers could have been better, but we got slammed with rain recently. Love the course, super fun!

Course was in great condition on most holes. Overall happy with how the course was. Only issue was the staff made me buddy up with a stranger in their cart that I had to go to the range to find him. Guy did not seem happy I had to ride with him. In a world where we have a virus going around and unsure of vaccines…. This set me on edge and effected my playing time today. Not to mention the course was path only - I played just yesterday close by and they did not make it cart path only. Overall I would play this course with a group of friends but this is not the course for solo rounds as they will make you buddy up in a cart. If the course wasn’t in the condition it was in… I probably wouldn’t come back so shoutout to the grounds crew.

Fairways were the best I’ve seen them. The rough was thick and made for a challenging round. This is a well-wooded course that has some great Par 4’s.

The course was in excellent condition. Love that it was challenging yet enjoyable . Will play again

Course with great design and history. City has taken over and the budget must keep them from robust maintenance. Greens are in good shape. Trees and landscape suffer a bit. Great deal for the $$. New clubhouse as well.

From the clubhouse to the course it was a pleasure to play. Challenging but fair . Would definitely recommend

Expensive for the value. Pace of play was abysmal. Ranger asked us to play faster, even though we hit into the group in front of us all day.

It’s been my first time back to Champions since they closed due to Covid and construction. The new clubhouse is great. I had a good time. The greens rolled nicely and the fairways were mowed well.

Challenging and very well laid out. Beautiful course overall excellent.

Man, what an experience. Amazingly clean facilities, really friendly staff and course is in great shape. Not difficult, which is more fun, and a straight forward test of golf. Would go again anytime. Don't let the surroundings fool you this place is worth it.

Course is in really good shape. Greens, fairways, tees and even the bunkers were nice. Only complaint: threesome ahead of us we’re very slow, 2 holes behind! Called the clubhouse and the ranger came out and lit a fire under they’re behinds! Will definitely be back really soon!
