Riviera Golf Club

Appears to have been a real nice course, but it was a little beaten up today. We were guaranteed $34 through golf now but was charged $40 a piece when we arrived. It always is disappointing when there was no warning to the fact that the greens were just aerated.

This is my favorite course in the Northwest Columbus area. The value for the price is great. The only complaint I have is the pace of play. There is a started out there now to try to promote faster play, but since the course is challenging the rounds are longer. Greens are usually in excellent shape, except for when people don't fix their ball marks.

Not as nice as it was when it was totally private BUT well above the better run public courses. Great, fast greens and solid layout.

The course was in excellent condition all the way around and the greens were among the nicest I have played in Ohio.

Had to wait 35 minutes to get a cart. It made tee time 10 minutes late. Extremely slow play. No ranger to monitor slow play. Took 5 hrs.

Good layout, very good greens, well maintained. Classic older style parkland course. Pretty flat, but nice trees and well placed creeks, water hazards, grass bunkers and rough around the greens make it interesting. I'd recommend this a good value for a fun round of golf. Played on July 3rd, so play was a bit slow because of the holiday. I'll play again. This course was recently changed from private to semi private and is reportedly closing at the end of 2014. I hope they decide to keep it open. It's definitely one of the best conditioned public access courses around.

We were treated as members. The staff was super friendly and informative about the course. I will be returning.

No tricked up holes, it's all right in front of you. Course played longer than stated yardage. Greens have some slopes but no goofy tiers and dead elephants. Beautiful club house, didn't check it out thought.

The course, as always, was in great condition. These greens are some of the best around. On this afternoon we played the front nine twice, we were a twosome, so when we caught up to the groups in front of us we decided to play the front again. Pace of play was good, overall a great afternoon of golf.

Definitely a must play. Greens were lightning quick. Very enjoyable course.

First time playing and I will definitely be back. Course requires you keep it in the fairway as both the rough and the accompanying trees can really make things difficult to make par. Worth the extra $10-15 bucks over other courses in the area that are more "affordable".

Rivera is a well maintained course. Greens are fast and sloped. Brings out every club in the bag.

Arrived a the course early only to wonder around trying to find the pro shop due a lack of signs. Once checked in I was rushed off the tee. The course itself was fairly vanilla however the greens are quite fast. This is due to all the greens sloping down to the fairways, if you are above the pin forget about par. Overall a decent day but there are better courses in the area.

Probably the best greens I have ever played on, and the whole course is in fantastic shape!
Its a shame this course is going away, its a challenging old-style country club, youre penalized by heavy rough for shots that miss the fairway, and rewarded by receptive greens that putt fast but true.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back as much as we can.

Definitely an enjoyable course that was challenging and had perfect greens.

Upon arrival, the course was not that inviting to new guests. The curb appeal was absolutely terrible. The staff(Pro Shop Attendant) was rude and disrespectful to non-members. Acted like there was a chip on his shoulder to the unfamiliar guests. Even though we reserved a tee time through Golfnow.com, he was unwilling to let us tee off at that time because there was a group of gentlemen(20 or so) about to tee off. We threathened to leave and ask for a full refund, so we was able to tee off.

Once on the course, our experience was 10x better. Absolutely perfectly maintained fairways and beautiful challenging greens. This course gives you the pro feeling without the cost. Would recommend this course with a different staff of course.

Very well maintained and challenging course with very fast greens. Was hoping for more overall character from this course but overall the layout was pretty good and would definitely play again. Make sure you bring your putting game because the the speed of the greens will test your putter.

The course was in excellent conditon and a great value on Golf Now. A private course for many years in central ohio that even though I usually like more elevation changes was a very enjoyable and challenging course to play. We were very pleased that the club house and staff were welcoming and we felt like members as we prepared to tee off. A great experience and we have played dozens of courses over the past 30 years.
