Safari Golf Club
About
Located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Safari Golf Club was carefully carved from mature forests. This tight course is not particularly long, but it has a varied design that appeals to a number of different tastes and skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and water hazards on several holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking treacherously beside the greens. The golf course starts off with a challenging par 4 that features a dramatic drop from the tee to the green. It finishes with two demanding par 4s as well. The 17th and 18th holes both feature a slew of challenges including rolling, tree-lined fairways and tricky stream crossings. Although it presents a formidable test on some holes, Safari Golf Club's hazards are straightforward with no surprises.

I play approximately 75 rounds a year and many of those are at Public and municipal golf courses. I would rank Safari golf course as one of the top five in central Ohio I was pleasantly surprised by the care for the course, pace play and just the sheer beauty on a fall day. This course had plenty of fall foliage to enjoy.
Cold to Warm
Great time again at Safari. Got paired up with a couple (D+E).
Good course and bear of my house
Beside Columbus Zoo
Near of my house
Last 2 holes difficult
Well maintained course
This place has better maintenance than most courses I go to. The greens and fairways are especially nice. And it is an interesting layout with some elevation change. The only thing I would say is that some of the holes are close together, but its not really a problem. Its sort of a tough course because of the narrow fairways and trees.
Slow seniors every Monday
If you enjoy 5 hour pace of play or more, this is the time to go for you, plenty of time in between your shots to wait for seniors ahead. Average time in between taking a shot is 15 min. I was paired up with a twosome and an additional single, the other three quit after 9 holes due to how terrible the pace was, I made it to hole 14 at 4 hours as another twosome behind us decided to call it quits as well. Avoid playing here Monday at all costs
No bev cart and worker was a dick
Solid course with some good challenges, course is maintained very well. Guy said as we teed off a beverage cart would be around a few times and I never saw it once until I was leaving. Also some old head worker gave us a pace of play warning on hole 8 even though we were making average pace for a foursome. Guys life just sucks I guess I don’t know
Stepping it up
Safari has really up its game the last few years. Good condition and decent pace of play 4 hours
A Really Enjoyable Course
My friend and I really enjoyed this course overall. It's in great condition with some very nicely designed holes, and it provides plenty of challenges. Fairways were pretty lush, greens rolled nicely, and there were plenty of challenges. While pace of play wasn't quite so ideal, it wasn't terrible. Overall, the good time we had and the deal we got was totally worth it. Staff we did meet was very friendly, and we even played with another person who works in the cart barn a couple times a week, so he was very helpful in describing what each hole did.
