Great staff, poor condition
We've played this course several times. They always seem try have times available. The condition of the course is extremely poor at this time, bald spots on the greens which are also full of poa annual which can make putting very unpredictable, tee boxes that resemble rough. But, the staff has always been cordial.
Fair Course
Not busy….rain had just stopped. Greens in poor shape!
Average course
If you like wind and a fair challenge this is the course. I played two days in a row
Give it a try
Fun course
Fun course that has wide fairways. The greens were in good shape and you get a free air show with hill AFB next door.
Sun Hills
Really lIked the layout. Course was in winter shape as it has only just reopened but green and fairways were generally pretty decent
Great winter round
Sun Hills GC is always a fun round and generally very busy; today the weather kept people away so we were not held up until we caught up to a 3-some that has been sent out on the back 9 in front of us; the group let us through so it wasn’t an issue, and the course was in good shape for a winter round.
Great winter round
Sun Hills GC is a fun course that I introduced a friend who had never played here; he was very impressed and enjoyed the variations in the holes; check in was smooth and we got out in time; it helped that the threat of weather kept others away; the courses was in good condition although there were a few greens that had some damage; great round overall
Fun course!
Played this course while visiting family in the area. Really enjoyed the layout and the staff was really friendly. The course was in good shape with nicely mowed fairways and greens that rolled true (greens were pretty fast). Sun Hills was a nice track for the money, it is near a public landfill, so there were a few holes that were a little unpleasant when we were downwind. Overall we enjoyed our round and would play here again when in the area!
A great round today!!!!!
Took the opportunity to get familiar with the course with my new clubs before a tournament. It was a great round on an amazing course with amazing staff! Would reccomend!
Rainy, wet round but great experience
This round at Sun Hills GC was my third round at this course in eight days, and today was just as fun and enjoyable as the first two were; the only difference today was there was a bit of rain early which kept the typical player load down, but the rain didn’t affect our play during the round; we did catch up to two different groups that were slow and had a slow play process which affected the pace of play, but none the less, it was another great round; the course was in good shape and played well.
Great round, but…
Sun Hills GC is a favorite course for me, and now my son and his good friend are also fans; the course was in very good condition with a little drought damage still present on greens and fairways, but overall the course was still in very good shape; the pace of play was typical for a busy round; we had a 3-some in front of us on the front 9 who were not experienced golfers which slowed play, but they were behind another slow group according to the Marshall with whom we talked on #6 tee box; however, the one negative of this round was that as we made the turn the clubhouse had sent a 4-some out in front of us on #10, and we learned from the Marshall after we finished #10 that the group in front of us was a group of gentlemen who were learning to play golf; he did say they were notified to let faster players through which eventually did occur on #13; however, sending new players out in front of groups making the turn isn’t really a good practice; anyway, the round was very enjoyable and will not deter me from returning because Sun Hills GC offers a great golf experience.
Another great round at Sun Hills GC
Sun Hills GC is a favorite of our golf group, so getting this tee time was a pleasant reward to return; as has been typical, I was greeted pleasantly and courteously upon my check-in, and the course was in very good condition; there were a few greens that had some damage, but that didn’t affect our round very much; otherwise the course was in very good condition; it is a popular course and was quite busy which did delay the pace of play, but it was a good round that will help us return again.
Great coarse with an air show
Took my son to play sun hills and had an excellent time. Had their breakfast burritos, which is a must have. Then during play also received some fly overs since it was close to the air force base. Couple of the greens needed some repair, but they have started to fix them already.
Great coarse for the money.
