The course is very playable
Fairfax should buy a horn to warn players of impending lightening in the area.
Thank you so much for your review. Outgoing play is suspended at the first sight of lighting. We encourage golfers to monitor weather conditions and return to the clubhouse at the first sound of thunder or sight of lighting. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back soon.
Great Public Course!
This is was my first time at Brambleton and I will be going back! Course amenities were nice including cold water to refill my bottle on a hot day. The staff was very accommodating. The course itself was in excellent condition especially after some recent heavy rain in the area. The roughs were thick so try to stay out of them!
A couple of challenging holes to keep you honest as well. The local wildlife was also welcoming, but they kept their distance. Can't wait to get back!

Dont Pass up a chance to play
Brambleton is in great shape right now, play it. Good value, good practice area. Only negative comment is about the "regulars" or members, played behind several groups of them, not one of them raked bunkers or fixed ball marks - they are leaving the course in worse shape and not very good stewards of the game.

Subpar course
Staff wasn’t the friendliest. Was told carts had to be returned by 8:25 pm (our tee time was 6:30) but then about an hour into play was told we had to return it by 8:20. Not a big deal but seems someone was just making up the rules as they wanted. Wasn’t able to play the last two holes bc we had very slow groups ahead of us, one included a foursome that walked the course. Suggest not putting walkers so close to people in carts in order to prevent backups.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're apologize if there was inconsistency in our cart return time. We ask that our carts are returned 5 minutes before sunset to allow for groups to finish their last hole and return to the clubhouse at sunset. Sunset was posted as 8:30pm. We'll make sure that our staff is briefed and consistent with the return time. We are sorry that you were not able to complete the additional holes. During our twilight time period, 3 hours before sunset, golfers can play as many holes as they can at a discounted rate before closing. 9 holes is not guaranteed but we hope that our golfers can get close. Unfortunately, we did have a very busy twilight tee sheet and pace was slower than normal.
