About
The Legends of Massillon offers 27 holes of championship golf. The holes are divided into three nines: East, North, and South; which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Originally opened in 1995 as an 18-hole golf course, another nine was added with each of the three nines featuring six of the original holes and three new ones. The East/North combination has large greens and plenty of water. Water is a prominent feature on every nine, it comes into play on 22 out of the 27 holes and you'll also have more than 80 strategically placed bunkers throughout to contend with. There are four sets of tees on every nine, making it accessible for a wide range of skill levels. The Legends consistently ranks as one of the top public golf courses in Ohio.

Great course, even better staff
Easily the most courteous staff - cashier, starter, ranger, snack bar - from A to Z of any course we’ve played this year. Course in good shape, but a few layout challenges making club selection tricky for someone who had not played here previously. Glad we finally made the trip to Legends!
Very reasonable senior rate
Played 18 in less than 3.5 hours as a single today. Other than two relatively long par 5s, the track is short. Greens were shaggy but in good shape. Fairways and rough were in nice condition. Lots of rain made most traps small ponds. Nice layout. Very nice folks in the clubhouse. Absolutely worth the short ride from Akron or Canton

Greens were rather slow for time of the year and hot dry day. Didn’t mind the water hazards some blind shots. Overall worth the 50 commute to try at least once for the cost of the round.

Excellent course and staff
Our visit was exceptional. Pace of play for a holiday was good, the staff went above and beyond to make the visit worthwhile. Will definitely plan to visit again

Always slow play at Legends.
Booked a tee-time for 11:44. At 11:40 the would-be starter sent us to the north course. Upon arrival we found a 4-some on the 1st green, a 4-some in the fairway, a 4 some in carts at the tee box and a 1-some near the tee box. I asked the 1-some what his tee time was. He said 11:12. He arrived late, but the starter sent him to the tee box anyway. We teed off at 12:15 and played behind the 1-some for 9 holes waiting on every hole and every shot. Behind us was 1-some and then a 2-some, who were forced to wait like we did. The 4-some did not allow the 1-some to play thru. There was no ranger. The starter should be given a job in the US congress.

Nice course made irritating by slow play.
I've played this course dozens of times. This time, my round was insanely irritating. Could never get in the groove. Hit a shot, wait forever, repeat. Stuck behind several slow groups ahead of us with no way to play through. Called the clubhouse to enforce pace of play, but apparently they don't care. They never sent a ranger. I will avoid this course in the future, especially during late morning weekdays.

Perfect
Course is in perfect shape. Was a little slow play because of amateur golfers. You know the one I mean! The golfers that don't fix divots on the green or drive the cart off the path at the tee boxes and greens and kill the grass.

Great course! Great people! Great time! Shot an 87, played East for the first time which was more difficult in my opinion than N and S... can’t ask for better options or a better price with 27 holes well kept and a great club house with many snacks and cold ones. From start to finish no where in the area I’d rather play!
