Jefferson District Golf Course is a beautifully landscaped 9 hole executive course which features a gently rolling playing surface with four ponds ideal for golfers who prefer walking. The course offers a challenging round of golf and includes a par five and some demanding par fours.

Best 9 hole score
Well I did a last minute decision to play golf. There were many courses I had to choose from. I passed Pinecrest, decided not to go to Burke Lake or Virginia Golf ctr. Jefferson is the chosen one. I set an afternoon tee time and arrived early to putt around. The starter told me if I wanted yo go out early. Absolutely. I didn’t get to putt with my putter I’m thinking about retiring. I teed out, boom right down the middle of the fairway. My next shot was over a tree to the green, it landed short of the green, then chipped across the green. I had a 15 foot for par. Nailed it. Second hole another nice drive. So I 2 chip to about 10 feet nailed it. Two 1 putts with the putter I plan to retire. Par 3 shot 147 lands 3.5 feet from the hole. Yep I 2 putted. The next 2 holes were bogey and a double (two 3 putts). I probably should have taken an unplayable because my ball was resting about 3 inches from a root. Anyway I parred and birdied the rest to finish with a 40.

Nice Easy 9
Not a difficult course, but had a very nice scenery. Pace of play was a bit slow as it took a bit over 2 hours to finish a 9 that is a par 35. Still a fun short 9 hole course.
I usually shoot 90’s or between a 45-50 for a 9. For this course I shot a 43.
$5 to rent a push cart that was well worth it.

Excellent Walking Golf Course.
Been going to this golf course for many years. Its a great course for every golfer. Its quite forgiving in most holes. I always enjoy playing here.

Decent condition for winter course
Great high 50’s degree weather to play golf on winter. Pace of play awesome but since winter condition, most Par 3 tees were closed and 1 green was also closed and combined gold and red on some tees. Totally understandable but would be better normal. Kudos to staff, they are always the best.
