Terrible Course Conditions and Smell
Course is full of Geese. There is goose poop everywhere. Seriously everywhere. Your ball hits in the fairway and sticks in goose poop, your call rolls on the green and sticks in goose poop. Every shot requires you to pick up your ball that is covered in goose poop and wipe it off, or hit it again and get the goose poop on your clubs. From the time you exit the clubhouse, there is a terrible stench that remains throughout the entire course! Definitely from the scores of geese roaming the course and the extensive amount of droppings. It looked like the course had been aerated the day before but those were not dirt cores, these were goose droppings.
Staff is lovely and the course is OK, but the amount of geese and geese droppings made this a disgusting place to play. I wish I had taken pictures.
Fun little course
Short but still challenging 9 holes. Good playing conditions and relatively relaxed environment.

Great little 9 hole muni
Nice course. Reasonable green fees. Expensive to rent cart ($15 per person). Not an issuebif youbwalk the course. Was about 100 degrees so no way I was walking.
Enjoyed playing there. Being redone in the clubhouse.

Great Outing
I took my 11 year old son here for his first golf outing on a real course. He had previously only been to a driving range, putting green or played miniature golf. The two men that we were paired with were to most accommodating to a new golfer. On hole #7 my son hit a hole-in-one. Everyone erupted in joy! He woke up this morning and immediately said, "can we go golfing again today". Needless to say, he is hooked.

Best 9 hole score
Well I did a last minute decision to play golf. There were many courses I had to choose from. I passed Pinecrest, decided not to go to Burke Lake or Virginia Golf ctr. Jefferson is the chosen one. I set an afternoon tee time and arrived early to putt around. The starter told me if I wanted yo go out early. Absolutely. I didn’t get to putt with my putter I’m thinking about retiring. I teed out, boom right down the middle of the fairway. My next shot was over a tree to the green, it landed short of the green, then chipped across the green. I had a 15 foot for par. Nailed it. Second hole another nice drive. So I 2 chip to about 10 feet nailed it. Two 1 putts with the putter I plan to retire. Par 3 shot 147 lands 3.5 feet from the hole. Yep I 2 putted. The next 2 holes were bogey and a double (two 3 putts). I probably should have taken an unplayable because my ball was resting about 3 inches from a root. Anyway I parred and birdied the rest to finish with a 40.
