Worst place to play in the Shenandoah valley
Every time we play at this course, the staff are terribly rude. We dropped $120 to play a Saturday. We were expecting a long day, due to how tight they book their tee times, no big deal. We are a twosome stuck in between couple foursomes. It’s backed up, we are waiting every hole, the Marshall comes and tells my buddy and I we need to pick up the pace. Keep in mind, we are a twosome, we are waiting on every shot. Like where you want us to go? Hurry up so we wait longer? When we say like “where you want us to go?”, he gets defensive with us. Just the stupidest thing i have heard. He obviously has no clue about how to be a Marshall. Go to the front of the line and give them your bull***. Maybe they shouldn’t book their tee time so close together???? I won’t be back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Way too much money for a mediocre course with a Marshall who doesn’t know his you know what from a hole in the ground. Would have gave 0 stars if it was in an option.
Always enjoy playing the Titus course
A fun course to play. A couple of water jugs out on the course most appreciated. Always friendly pro shop staff and starter.
Titus Course
Enjoy the new setup. Only issue is getting food/drink at the turn. You don’t get to the snack house until 12th? Hole. And then it’s not directly on the path.
Titus course is the more challenging of the two.
Course was in great shape. Great value for an early weekend tee time.

Loved it
The roughs were rough, the greens were green, the layout was fun. I really loved this course and will 100% be back. One of my top favs in Virginia. I have nothing negative to say.
Fun course
They now allow golf carts in the parking lot! The rough on this course is extremely rough. Very deep thick grass. One short par 3 hole always fun to play. Great staff!

Great time and course! Well worth the 1 hr drive.

Titus was closed, due to aeration. Fairways on the old course are pretty bare, but not sure the reason. Still, an incredible value for the money.
Pros and cons
Great course very well kept but terribly overbooked, had to wait 30 minutes past our tee time to even get a cart and pace of play was extremely slow. 4-1/2 to 5 hours to finish the round.
Pace of play
The course is nice and enjoyed the layout. When you pay $70 and only get in 11 holes due to the pace of play sucks. They did not have anyone checking or regulating the groups.
Needs Renovation
Titus is a new layout that combines the 9 hole Blue Course with 9 holes from the recently acquired Bowling Green Club. The entire part of the BG course part was poorly maintained- fairways not cut - very rough conditions. Even the Blue Course needed attention- sand traps below average- greens bumpy and rough. Some places muddy from watering and others rock hard from lack of water.
One bonus was the green fee special - but the course definitely needs help.
