A Solid 3 Star Course
Greens are nicer than some other local courses as of September 2025.
If you're willing to spend extra (18: $60/weekday or $70/weekend // 9: $35/weekday or $45/weekend) to have a quieter golf experience with less golfers around, then that's a solid choice. Other courses technically in better shape with amenities are approximately $40 during the week for 18.
Bunkers do need work.
Nice for a course to just show up and know you can get a round in that is low-key. Closures at unexpected times or not being noted on the website should be considered.
Excellent Value
The Greens at Tanyard featured small well manicured greens which were moderately fast. The course was in good shape and featured several risk reward holes. This is not a long course but the short par 4s are well protected and require accuracy. According to my wife this course is very "lady friendly". By the end of the round I had used every club in my bag. One negative is no food or alcohol sales.
Very, very poor course!
One of the worst maintained courses I have ever played. The only difference between the fairway and the rough was the color of the grass. The fairway was so overgrown you could not use a fairway wood, but must use a hybrid - unless you land in one of the bare spots! The greens were as long s the fairways were supposed to be. No pro shop...no 19th hole /refreshments were available. Do not play here !
