Staff Unwilling to Enforce Rules
Couple in my group brought their young kids that did not golf. At least one was certainly under the age of five. The kids were loud and distracting the entire way around the course. I called and asked if this was allowed. The person on the phone said that nongolfing children under the age of five were not allowed. I asked if they would give me a complimentary round so I could try the course again. The person on the phone said that kids come in all shapes and sizes and refused my request. What is the point of rules if they aren't enforced and you question the judgment of customers that raise the issue?
Additionally, the tee boxes were in such disrepair that there was no flat place to stand.

Buggy!
Not a lot of great things to say about this course. It’s cheap and quick if you’re looking for a an easy round. The tee boxes were in disrepair, couldn’t find a level footing to tee off on maybe half the holes. But the biggest disappointment was the intensity of the gnats. To clarify, I love the outdoors, bugs are typically the least of my concerns when I’m out on the links. But at Oak Marr I had a MASSIVE cloud of gnats circling and dive bombing me for the entire 9 holes. We talked with the Marshall and he confirmed this is to be expected for the rest of the season. Save your money, time, and sanity and pick a different course for your next round

Good for field exercise
Though it was hot, a few holes have shade and benches.
It’s good place to exercise or get field lesson with no heavy efforts.

Marshall
We finished in 1:45 minutes - which on crowded Sunday - not too bad. Marshall stayed on holes 7-8-9 — and made his presence known. I get it - we all get it —- but why don’t we look at other holes.

Perfect driving range and great 9h par 3
I love this golf center! They have a great driving range, friendly staff and a perfect par 3 9holes course to practice some more.

Pace of Play was about 25 minutes per a hole
Extremely slow pace of play. The course staff was blaming the nice weather for being so crowded. They just don't want to admit that it was their fault to overbook tee times. I don't think the problem is not going to get better until they can find someone who can manage the golf course.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Well run facility, grounds are nicely kept. Marshall is good about catching up with the players etc.
Only one concern that I mentioned to the Marshall on his drive by, there was a dead Goose in the pond, kind of disturbing for someone like me. He said he would get it taken care of.

Oak Marr is a well kept course, and great for beginners. The grounds were well kept, and pace of play was smooth.
