About
The lush, rolling terrain occupied by Bent Tree Golf Club was sculpted into one of the most popular championship golf courses in central Ohio. Dennis Griffiths, the course's architect, seamlessly blended the design with the natural features of the landscape. The abundant natural water hazards come into play on half the holes and Griffiths strategically incorporated several well placed bunkers. The terrain's gentle undulations provide some interesting slope in the greens that place a priority on accuracy. Bent Tree Golf Club's par-4 eighth hole is especially demanding. It may be short at only 334 yards but it is surrounded by bunkers on all sides. It is followed by another tricky par 4 that requires both distance and accuracy in order to navigate the tree-lined fairway uphill to an undulating green faced with bunkers to the front and back.

Playable sand traps!
Course is always in great shape. Definitely worth the price. Only complaint was the number of ball marks left.
Course is falling apart
This course has one of my favorite layouts in Central Ohio. Sadly, the course was in terrible shape. The bunkers hadn’t been touched all year. The tee boxes looked like they hadn’t been moved in weeks. It was nearly impossible to find a clean lie or stance on a tee box. The greens were very chewed up.

Losing it?
Played a late afternoon round for $31. Which was ok, but more $$$ than that I would not. It’s been a bit since my last round here. No particular reason just other options. The general course conditions are not what I recall. Tee boxes need moved around more to allow sod to heal. Bunkers seem neglected. Some fairways and greens have weed infiltration. Some greens have badly damaged/loss of turf. Landscaping overrun with weeds. Kinda sad. Not what I recall at all.

Awesome course
This course was great - I had never played it. It’s expensive but definitely one of the nicest I’ve played around Columbus!

Would not play again!
Tee boxes are in horrible condition, very long grass and dead grass was abundant. Fairways were basically the same as tee boxes. Bunkers had limited if any playable sand and did not appear to have been raked for months.(note this review was a few days after 5-8 inches of rain the week before but no rain the 3 days before i played) Greens are also in bad shape with many large areas on edges of the green where it was merely a pile of sand and you have to remark your ball location to even make a putt. I was absolutely disappointed and cant imagine how this nice layout of a course could get to this point. Something is very wrong with the course management to get to this point. Do not waste your time or money. I would pay $25 and still be disappointed. I paid $49. Wont be back.

Pretty good overall
Staff were super nice, course was in really nice shape considering how dry it's been the last couple of weeks, especially the greens, which rolled pure. Course layout was pretty average, short and mostly straight, a few interesting holes. 3, 5, 9, 16 and 18 stick out the most but 6, 7, 10 and 15 were decent enough as well. On course etiquette was the most lacking I would say, almost got hit with balls multiple times (cart was actually hit twice, and a couple others were close while we were actually playing the hole) and not once did we hear fore. Not the courses fault I guess but annoying nonetheless.

Conditions need improved
Get some reps in if price is cheap... but tee boxes are all chewed up and not level, golf cart divot repair was empty with no sand mixture

What Happened to This Course
This use to be a really nice course in great condition. I was dumbfounded at the condition. Tees had weeds and we torn up. Greens were like putting on carpet, fairways were brown sparse. A couple greens had significant spots with no grass. Unbelievable how a course once in the top 100 has fallen so far and they charge $60.
They should pay you to play it.

Rough shape
Probably played this course 30+ times over the years. The course conditions get worse and worse each time I am there. For $50 + for 18 I'd expect a little bit better upkeep.

I was disappointed with n the condition of the course. It seems they have been watering as it the grass was really browning up everywhere. It was nearly 90 degrees but there was no water available on the course. Ball washers were not in use.

Very tight layout and almost got hit several times. Course was packed and they had a shortage of carts. The round took 5 hours but we had fun and it was challenging from the tips.
