Fun course
Had a great time. The back nine gets very backed up on busy days. The round took nearly 5 hours.
Great Round Despite Clubhouse Attendent
Course is in impeccable shape, grounds crew and restaurant staff were excellent. The gentlemen in the clubhouse was a disappointment in his attitude in dealing with not just me but another in our group as I found out on the first tee. Being seniors and using on line tee booking as requested we were informed that because we booked on line we we ineligible for senior rates. Ok lesson learned. However the way we were treated in separate transactions was condescending and rude. Beware seniors do not book on line with Auburn you will not be eligible for senior rates and if a certain person is working you can be insulted to add to your injury. In his defense he’s never very friendly on the best of days.
Nice track, except for one hole
This course is a nice track, plays fair, the greens roll true. My only complaint is the ridiculous uphill # 11.
A pleasure to play.
I was first out. I wan’t ready as I didn’t have any time to warm up. But, it was my choice as I had a later tee time. No fault there. However, they do not have a fully operational driving range. You have to bring and shag your own balls. Never saw that before. Nevertheless, I had many laughs at my game while this beautiful track wowed me over and over.
Label Juniors tee times
I love this course. Today I went on as a single and ended up with 3 other golfers. An 11 year old, a 13 year old, and a 15 year old. The kids were nice, had taken a few golf lessons, but could not hit the ball at all. I would hit, then they would each hit 7-10 shots, then I’d get to hit again. The 11 year old had the attention span of a squirrel and would just hit the ball around the fairway at will. He even hit off the blue tees without a word from mom. Even hitting me once. They had no etiquette at all and the two moms that walked with them knew nothing about golf. They quit at nine and I went back to the pro shop for a refund. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was told there was nothing they can do because I “played” the front nine. They credited me for the back nine. I did not bother keeping score on the front because the rhythm and pace of play was awful. They need to designate the tee time to know they were juniors. This was not a good experience
Bad pairing
Playing as a single, you take chances. Got paired today with an 11, 13, and 15 year old. Second time on the a course for them. No etiquette and the 11 year old had the attention span of a squirrel. All he hit was a sand wedge and his mom ( walking, not playing) allowed him to hit from blue tees. I hit one shot, they hit 10. There needs to be a marker in the schedule that says there’s juniors. I asked for a e red fund, all I got was a credit for the back nine since I did not play i. Worst golf experience in 30 years.
Great value course
Even though I'm a Pacific NW native, this was my first time playing Auburn. I was pleasantly surprised with well manicured fairways and greens in great condition that were firm and rolled well.
Course is easy to walk with only 3 holes that give some workout due to elevation from green to tee.
First several holes are typical narrow fairway, side-by-side that are tree lined for separation, but second part of the front 9 and the back 9 provides more variety to challenge all levels of golfer.
This is a very nice course for the price. I’d like the layout and the challenge. And the greens and fairways are both well-maintained. I recommend it to all those around
Course in great condition
First time playing Auburn Golf course in a couple years and it was in the best shape I have ever seen it and the greens were probably the best I’ve played on this year! Will definitely play again soon
Beautiful condition
A couple nice warm up holes, followed by some fun but challenging holes. Very well taken care of Course.
Fraud
The course played great. My friend bought drinks at the turn. Good prices for doubles. While we were on the back nine the cart lady charged us double and said it was a convenience fee. That is ridiculous.
Sunny day of golf
Course looked great. Pace of play was good. Bunkers were terrible, weeds in bunkers, hard sand like it had not been raked all day. I know they don’t put rakes out because of the virus. But it would be nice if they were raked once a day.
Didn’t get to play
Unfortunately I was not able to play Auburn do to an unexpected trip to the ER with my mother. I tried to cancel but do to the type of booking I was unable to cancel. I will let you know if I get another chance to play how it goes.
Fun Course for All
AGC has always been a fun course to play. Not terribly difficult, but you certainly can make it difficult with a few errant shots. Most fairways were in good shape for a municiple course that may had some labor constraints due to the pandemic. My only gripe I guess were several greens that were very bumpy. Not divot/golf spike bumpy. More like uneven grain bumpy. Hole #10 was especially frustrating from the back side to the center pin position. But overall no doubt I'll be back.
