About
The Riverbend Golf Complex sits along the Green River in Kent Valley, Wash. Owned and operated by the City of Kent, the complex offers a championship, 18-hole course and a mini-golf course. The 18-hole course is one of the busiest in the state with more than 65,000 rounds played on it annually. The golf course sprawls across a relatively flat landscape, making it easily walkable. Though it may not be hilly, that doesn't mean it's trouble free. There are more than 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout and three lakes come into play as well. The layout is player friendly, with enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels.

Great condition but slow pace of play
Hit a small bucket at the range before my round at 12:30. Course was backed up from the first tee and took 2&1/2 hours to finish the front nine. We had to skip two holes on the back because they were closing the gate across the river.
Overall good experience but the slow pace and early close of the gate left me feeling like I didn’t get full value for my green fee.
The restaurant was closed :-/

Just golf
Course was in decent shaoe cinsidering a lot of rain the previous twk days. Cart path only which was understsndable. Lot of unreoaurdd ball marks on greens from lazy players.
Restaurant was closed for season.

Fun to play
Really fun course to play,and one of the few courses in the area with all types of warm up/practice areas and a driving range. Fairways in good condition with lower cut rough around greens. Played on Oct 3, most greens were puttable, but definitely not yet rolling “true”, due to a recent fall aeration, they should be better in another week or so.

Good day for Sept golf
I found this tee time last minute and was paired with 3 other singles. The course was in decent conditions with the tee boxes pretty well used, the green very slow and bumpy as they were recently punched/sanded, and some puddles on the course. The pace of play was excellent as we finished in 3:25, despite waiting for 5 min to tee off on the par-3 13th.

Aerification alert
The greens and most recently, the tees have been aerified so keep that in mind if that bothers you. We always play automatic 2-putt on aerified greens. Otherwise the course is in good shape although the day I played, the pace was slow- 4 hours 15 minutes. All in all, good value for the money.

Excellent pace of play
Good course to play in terms of condition, layout, pace of play and amenities. The only complaint is in condition of the tees which need serious renovation.

Course maintenance
Riverbend was in great shape considering the long hot, dry summer we’ve had ! Greens were in excellent shape, nice and green and were running fast!! Fairways were in pretty good shape, a few brown, dry spots, but compared to other courses in the area, Riverbend has done a great job maintaining the whole course!

This course is a solid play
The cost to play here is pretty friendly all things considered. The fairways were in good shape but some of the greens had something left to be desired. It seems like nobody that plays here fixes their pitch marks on the greens. I easily fixed 30 marks myself during the day. However, despite the marked up greens, they rolled really well and fairly smooth. I’d play here again and I think if you’re in or around the area, it’s a decent stop for the cost of a round.
