Golfer Reviews
Nice course
The course was in very good shape. The staff was ok in the clubhouse. Grill staff seemed to be put out when we tried to order food before the turn. Carts have seen better days. Has to be one of the last courses using non-electric carts.
Certainly would go back
Unexpected gem
Great play for the money. Course and greens immaculate. Walkable course. Only complaints is there isn’t any sand in the bunkers. Very hard. If that was fixed this course would be perfect. Also no water on the course. I was walking and only way to get water was to purchase from on course drink cart.
Friendly birds!
Beautiful day with good pace in front of and behind us. On hole 4 my ball landed next to the tall grass around the pond. As I reset my ball I was attacked by a red-wing blackbird who thought I was too close to her nest, I presume. She went for my hair 5 times in all, chirping loudly the whole time. A Funniest Home Videos moment!.
Pleasantly Surprised
Played this course with my father in law, and was pleasantly surprised by the condition and layout! I'd played here 10-15 years ago but had completely forgotten what a gem it is. Price was fantastic, course conditions seemed VERY good to me.. Groundskeeper AND TEAM must be SOLID! and layout was interesting enough to make it super fun to play, regardless of whether it's a bit short or not from the whites.
More of a challenge from the blues..
I would 100% drive down from the Portland area again to play here. Especially since it seemed a lot less busy than some local courses on the weekend.
Pleasant outing for a compact city course
Fairly priced. Not convenient to I-5, but enjoyed this course. Nice trees around and water features. Sand and other hazards make for some strategy and trouble off the tee, but overall not a demanding course. Easy to walk. Pace of play was great (Monday).
Like this course.
if I lived closer to Mint Valley I would buy a season pass there. Little shorter than most courses I play but I like the layout. Getting a little older I can't hit as far and this course suits my game.
Great little course.
Not overly long but putting the ball in the right positions a priority. Long ballers may choose to challenge dogleg but big trouble lurks if not pulled off. Short and accurate players would love this golf course and the prices are outstanding. Greens are terrific have solid pace to them and just enough undulations to test your skills.
Great Course, A couple of holes with an odd layout
Could not ask for better conditions this time of year. Absolutely great facilities. The only thing that I would say is that there are a couple of holes that are essentially hairpin turns that force you to into making some less than intuitive club choices. Maybe thats a good thing? We just thought it was a little strange. Even with that, great course, great round. Would for sure go again.
Awesome
The course was an excellent shape considering all the rain we’ve had. The price was right. Thank you Golf Now and Mint Valley.
Nice course
Wish I lived closer to this course. Always a good time here. Perfect for my game, not too long but still need to hit the shots.
Mint Valley - Can't Beat The Value!
Mint Valley is a wonderful course for the average golfer. It is laid out nicely...pace of play is fine...and the total facility is quite inviting!
Beautiful condition!
Course was in awesome condition! Greens were in great shape!
Always a good time
I always enjoy this course. Could use more frequent bathrooms or drink cars but can’t complain. One of my go-to’s for sure especially for the $ :)
High quality/price ratio
I really liked it. A couple of my friends had been earlier in the summer and raved about it. It's a pretty decent haul from Stevenson but I didn't regret the trip.
This place has a well tended but easy going, blue collar feel and everyone seems happy. The practice facilities are unassuming but perfectly functional and spacious. The pro shop and clubhouse are nice and have some good gear. The food menu and kitchen looked good but that brings up my only criticism...they don't open until late in the morning. We showed up early hoping for a golf course breakfast like a burrito or sandwich.
There's not much else to say. The course isn't particularly hard but we made it that way a lot of the time anyways. The greens, while very damp on a hot day, were still very fast, I think due to matting. That was a struggle to get through my head. I'll putt better next time!
Exceptional value
I've played the regular course and the par 3 course several times. This is a thinking man's course - not just a drive and 8 iron to the green. I think I've used every club in the bag. A fantastic fun challenge. The staff in the pro shop are great - very friendly and I think honestly care that their customers are having a good time. This is a fantastic value, great condition and a fun round. Kudos to the grounds crew -
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us Ripp. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Mint Valley Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
