Blue Boy West Golf Course in Monroe, Washington is a nine-hole course that is great practice for beginners but still challenging enough for more experienced players who are looking for a quick round. The tough but fair layout will test you with water on seven holes and several strategically placed bunkers throughout. You'll also come across a few tricky doglegs. This is a great layout for getting some practice with your irons, but your driver won't be getting much play. It's a true shot-maker's course with a variety of holes featuring uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. Accuracy is the key to a low score. Worst golf experience I’ve had in a long time.
The pro shop completely failed to manage a morning tournament, which caused over an hour delay for afternoon tee times. Total chaos. I waited 1 hour 15 minutes just to tee off, and then it took another 3 hours to play a 2,000-yard 9-hole, because the pace was out of control. No marshals, no management, nothing.
Course conditions were terrible. All the tee boxes were closed and replaced with random range mats on dirt — every shot kicks up dust and debris. The greens are in awful shape: bumpy, patchy, and full of exposed dirt.
The worst part was the owner’s attitude. I booked through GolfNow, and instead of handling it professionally, he complained that he makes no money from it and told me to book in person next time. If you don’t want to honor those bookings, then don’t list your tee times there.
Not worth it at all. Poorly run, badly maintained, and unprofessional. Won’t be back.
Summer may bring better…
First off, I was confused that we hadn’t paid online but that was my bad but they could’ve been nicer about it. Then, we get it all sorted out and get our keys for the carts, and a couple of beers. The carts were dirty but that is common in the PNW during the winter. However, my cart was littered with cigarette butts.. pretty gross. 🤢 We then set out on our journey which was filled with excitement and the elements of the PNW. It would have been nice to be able to use tees but we were forced to use mats and the tees in place were basically non existent. It looks as if the grass tees will be quite enjoyable and thus it would be nice to give this place another chance in the summer.
Great course for novice players, as well as seasoned golfers. Great staff and friendly patrons. Laid back vibe ensures no pressure for those just beginning on the links.
Fun course
I really enjoyed the course for what it is. It’s a fun little hidden gem. Greens were very slow but a lot of slope and fun to play on. I love the nature and hole 2s green with a big stump in the middle of it. You can pay for 18 and play as much as you want. Don’t book on golf now it is $5 cheaper at the course. $24 all you can play!
Horrible.
Back yard course for 40$ is not okay. Staff guy at the counter is a d1ckhead. Greens are long and inconsistent, fairways are long grass like your back yard. Do not recommend to anyone other than children who are new to golf.

Challenging & interesting
This is not a very long course, and nor is it immaculately landscaped but I loved my game. The holes are quirky and a little different. The greens are interesting and very challenging. All in all, a great experience.
Average course
Owner gave me a hard time about booking through Golfnow and he claims that he receives no revenue through these bookings.
If I'm getting a guilt trip, why even list on Golfnow in the first place?

Do not book through golf now
Do not book through golf now. We had to pay the booking fee but the pro shop does not actually take reservations for tee times and claim they don’t have access to the golf now reservations. They just use this app to advertise, and you have to pay full price once you show up. Very slow play for 9 holes. 9 hole course but holes 8 and 9 closed for 90 minutes due to a wedding. Pace of play was so slow that it took us 3.5 hours to play 9 holes.
Don’t play here if you’re a real golfer
This is for people who want to go golf in their tank tops. Course sucks and they don’t manage it, could take 3 hours to play 9 because of stupid y courteous people. Course is worth 15 bucks at best.
Also don’t book thru GolfNow for this course, the pro shop with complain about how they aren’t making any money off you and your tee times aren’t ever honored. They tell you to get in line on number 1. Like dude, all you have to do is book times and make people follow those rules.
Awesome little secret
Finally went and tried blue boy. It’s been on my radar for awhile now. I was very satisfied. Price is reasonable and course was very well maintained. I have golfed at a couple other places this year so far and this one was maintained way better than the others. Props to the grounds team. Look forward to venturing there plenty of more times this year. Thanks blue boy!
Great little course
Greens were good. Even the bunkers. Finished 18 holes in 3 hours on a Starday for $30 bucks. Kinda nice!
Love this little course
Such a good deal if you're willing to drive a little ways. You can play for $10-20 for a round of 9 large-ish holes and play a second round for $5. My son and i love this place.. It's pretty muddy around the edges this time of year (February), so don't hit your ball there. A nice variety of holes. The buildings aren't anything beautiful, except the wedding venue I guess, but I don't care about that stuff when I can play golf for a reasonable price. Definitely try it out.
