Fix the greens!
As I see in other reviews, the greens are like putting on broccoli (thanks to Rory McIlroy). I would say that 10 of the 18 tee boxes were over played... but there were some changes that did help pace of play, like the periscopes on #7 and #11.
One thing that was not on their web site is that the #19 Bar & Grill is no longer open... so for get the snack at the turn!
As for the golf carts... I'd give them 3 stars... not a fan of gas powered golf carts!
Greens are AWFUL
I've been a big Nile fan for many years. It has been one of the best courses for the money. Unfortunately though, over the last few months (mid-March through now the end of May 2023), the greens have been in TERRIBLE shape. It appears they punched the greens awhile back and they've grown back bumpy and uneven. Pretty sure all they'd need to do is roll them to even them out and return them to good playable condition again but they seem to not want to do this, or don't have the equipment to do it. As it is now, it's nearly impossible to read any putt's line or speed. Be prepared for plenty of 3 putts on anything outside of about 20 ft. I hate to say it, but I don't think I'm going to play here anymore until they fix the greens. Which sucks because it's the closest course to me and I usually play here a good 10 times a year if not more.
Also, there's a huge branch now blocking a straight shot to the green on hole 13 if the tee box is to the right at all. Come on guys, buy a chainsaw

No water, No food
Good executive 18 hole course close to Seattle. The layout is fun and friendly. However the condition of the greens are really bumpy and make it difficult to putt. Also, they use burn barrels for garbage cans which make the course look like a hobo camp.
The real negatives here are that there is no water to drink anywhere on the course. Really! No drinking fountains anywhere. AND, no food to buy, no beverage cart, no restaurant. Too bad, so sad.
Whoever is in charge of food and beverages need to be fired.

Ruined Greens - No food service
I have played The Nile for years, regularly. Unfortunately now it isn't worth the time or the money. They ruined the greens this off season - they were always in "good" shape, now they are sub-par, very bumpy.
They also have no current food service capabilities... this has been an ongoing issue.

Good value, great staff
Course was nice and affordable. Could use some water stations at some holes. Overall I enjoyed the course.

Good conditions
We last played here a couple months ago, when the course was in pretty rough shape. Glad to report it is now significantly improved, with very minimal bare/boggy areas. Greens were somewhat slow and bumpy. Some bunkers under repair. Slowish groups ahead of us, seemingly due to golfers thinking they could drive the green, "only" 300 yards away.....Overall a nice round and we will be back.
