Great fir the average player
Tight Fairways, got to hit it pretty straight. I usually drive 200-225 so was able to use my driver, than a short iron for the green shot. Bunkers were all dry yesterday, and in good shape.
Great local course.
We have played here many times. Course was really wet even with the heat. It was like they were over watering to keep the course green but forgot to turn the water off.
Really slow play...
Course is in excellent condition but they put to many people on the course @ the play is really slow. 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes ruins the game of golf. Wouldn't play there again.
Wide fairways
Great course.
Nice par 4 and mixed in with pars 5, very nice.
Great Little Confidence Course
Course is in great shape and is a great value for the price. Great service team in the PRO shop as well. If you need a little confidence to tune your game , this is a great warm up.
Convenient Course
I live close by so that is a plus and as long that is hasn't rained recently it is a dry enough course. It's a great course to work out your irons and if you can crush the drive some of the par 4's are reachable. It is totally walkable also.
46 on the front, 41 on the back
Paired up on the second hole and enjoyed a morning of golf. Done at 11am and wanted to play another 18
Value course, less the service
The whole course was in good condition despite being one of the busiest public courses in the county. The only course employee who smiled at me was the marshal as he passed me, not the beverage cart employee, not the counter staffer.
The fairways are relatively straight ahead, not very challenging in that regard but they are tight. I wouldn't recommend this course to a beginner.
Had fun playing though!
Fairways are close together
Watch out you never know when a ball is headed your way from another fairway. Other than that it's a very short easy well maintained course.
Great Day
Foster was really nice. Course was in good shape considering the time of year. Grounds crew looked very busy getting it ready for more play. Not many on the course for what I would have considered a great day for golf. Clubhouse staff was terrific and welcoming as was the restaurant. This course needs to be played more!!
Fun walking course with good amenities
Wife and I play Foster several times a year and most of the time the pace is good (3 1/2 to 4 hr. round). Today was more like 4 1/2 due to slow 4-some in front of us. They picked up pace when marshal (staff from pro shop) saw they were 2 holes out of position. Short, easy to walk course with a number of fairways that require accurate tee shots.
Nicer than I expected
Very friendly staff, easy to get a tee time, HUGE pro shop. The fairways are a bit narrow but that's not much to complain about. The fairway turf is the most firm I have hit off in western Washington offering some forgiveness on fat shots. It's 30 miles from my house and well worth the drive, I plan on playing many more rounds there in the future.
Friday at Foster
My beginner wife and I played this course as a date. It was everything I expected. The course is short, but it's also narrow. Over the water proves fun but not outrageous for a beginner. If you're a long hitter it will give you lots of iron practice.
Good day at Foster Golf Links
Course was in surprisingly good shape Good weather and good rate of play.
Great Practice
Fosters is always in great condition...a little wet this time of year, so bunkers become ponds. But a great place to get warmed up for the season and great burger/beer specials at lunch time. You wont be disappointed.
Overall length
the course was beautiful. But, if you are a long hitter, don't expect to use your driver. I average about 280 with my driver, and there were maybe 4 holes where I was able to use my driver.
Just of I-5
Fun and easy course. Can be very wet after a rainy day. Very well keep course. Golf early if you don't want to have slow play.
Restaurant and bar a fairly new.
I prefer other courses.
There is a lot of goose manure all around and the smell from what I assume to be the rendering plant next door is awful if you're downwind..and we were downwind. Not a bad course though, plenty challenging for a hacker like me. I'd play there again if the price was right. Unfortunately I paid in advance because it was Hot Deal and one guy didn't show up...no refund.
Foster 18 with Kirk Ray
Great Round with great friends....funniest part was when Kirk Ray shanked his drive on #1 into the river and proceeded to carry and drop a ball 250 yards down the fairway and claimed he was hitting 3....got an amazing bogey!!!
Course was wet but well maintained ....tight fairways made it a shot makers round ! Can't wait to play it again !!!
