Lewis River Golf Course

I like this course, but I left after 9 holes. They let 5 guys play in front of us and the group in front of them were super slow. I don’t want to play a 6 hour round! It’s too bad, because this course is challenging and fun. Very disappointed. Plus it was a Monday, so you would think the course wouldn’t be so backed up.

There has been a lot of work done on the course since I played it last. It was in great condition. Very impressed with all the work that's been done. Fairways, bunkers, greens all looked great. Bridges and cast paths have been repaired and there's even the beginnings of a proper driving range.

All that said, the Marshal needs to do his job. It took us under 2 hours to play the front 9, but then we caught up to the groups in front of us and it took over 3 hours to play the back. That's ridiculous and somebody needed to be hurried along.

Overall, so glad to see this beauty brought back to life. Will be back.

Course being renovated, rerouting and arified greens, but still playable

Lots of trees some give good bounces some make you pay 🤣 been a few years since I played, pace of play was slow think it was one group a few holes in front of us, think that was first time I ever waited on a par 5 tee box for 10 mins🤷‍♂️

Course was in good shape greens were rolling good

It's an hour from my house, so I waited to play here. I was very pleased with all the folks I interacted with at the course. The course itself has some great challenges and some stunning holes. I managed to stay out of the bunkers, but they looked great. I can't wait to play here again.

I would like to ask you would consider adding some safety precautions around the green area and tee box at the 17 green… it’s a very unsafe area. The pace of play was not good given how many marshals are on staff. I will be back though . The staff are all friendly and helpful and lunch was great!

Pace of play much better, about 4:05. No particular reason other than fewer people in the groups ahead of us. Nice greens, friendly staff. George the starter helpful.

Even w/an active Marshall, the pace of play was awful. The tee times are scheduled too close together. Also the driving range is limited to irons. Tif you can’t use a driver they should call it an iron range. When I called to check if there was a range they should have told me it as for irons only.

Greens in very good shape. Some tees for women need work. Course is a bit long for old timers. Repeated poor pace of play. Wide open 2nd group in front of us. 4:45 too long, and unfortunately has been standard each time we’ve played. Marshal doing double duty as starter, but need a marshal out on the course.
