Riverside Golf Course

Course in excellent shape. Front nine pace was great. Slowed down dramatically on the back. Slower groups not letting people through. Need a starter and a ranger.

Played at this course at least 20 times this summer. It’s always in great shape and a great value

Played this course for the first time yesterday and back again today. It’s a great layout and it’s very well taken care of. Best course open to public within many miles. As good or better than any Columbus area public courses. I will be a regular.

Riverside was in great condition as always. That’s what you come to expect from a course owned and managed by golfers. Always a great time at Riverside

Great track and in good shape for this time of year. We had the course pretty much to ourselves.

Decent condition for January in WV. Was nice to get out on this 70 degree day.

Had a fairly good day at the course. Course conditions were good except for a couple cart paths that need paved or graveled. Muddy cart paths to me are a no-no.

My only real issue was lack of a starter. It was very crowded and there was no control over people on the first tee. It was pretty well first come first serve. I was paired with a couple guys that didn't get to the tee until 10 minutes after our tee time. While waiting on them i let two groups go on so not to further slow down the pace and to relieve congestion on first tee. Being day after Christmas I really didn't expect such a crowd. It was the slowest I've ever played. Had I not booked through golf now I would have left before I went in the clubhouse. When I pulled up there was a group of six going off together which probably made things a little faster than having two groups in the mix. There were also too many twosomes (see starter issue).

Those things being said, I like the course and will be back but not sure if I'll book through golfnow so I don't feel committed because I've paid already and if I don't want to deal with these same issues I won't.

Day started out bad so I called to let them know I was going to be late-no problem. Got there checked in and They had already processed me and turned me loose on the course. If I had played better everything would have been perfect.

I will definitely be back and bring some of my golfing buddies.

I have played this course when it has been in better condition but it has also been very dry. Some of the greens had some small dead spots. I enjoy the layout beacuse if you hit an errant shot you do have the ability to recover in some instances. This course also requires you to use many of the clubs in your bag (not just driver, wedge, driver, wedge, etc.). Staff is generally friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is very good.

Nice course but different from where I play most of the time. Narrow fairways and easy to lose a ball if you don't hit them. Water on course but only a problem if you hit bad shots. Some holes very straight but look deceivingly long. Personally a challenging course because my game is really off right now.

Will definitely go back after I work on my game.

Greens were in excellent condition with the fairways coming into shape. Still a few spots under repair from the large amounts of rain lately but overall good conditions.
