The Resort at The Mountain's 27-hole golf course is nestled in the Salmon River Valley of the Mt. Hood National Forest. Pine Cone Nine is region's oldest golf course and the Foxglove is the signature nine. Distinctive challenges await golfers year 'round and observance of sound golfing principles and strategy serve players well. The Courses' natural landscape and views are cool, awesome, amazing. Beautiful course!
Only 40 miles from Portland, this course is 5-10 degrees cooler and well worth the drive. Foxglove is bordered by the Salmon River & has wonderful river views. Staff is friendly & professional. Welches has several nice restaurents, including the Resort's.

3 enjoyable 9-hole courses to play
Foxglove is the most challenging and the most fun, but all 3 courses can be moderately tough depending on weather conditions and pin placement on the greens. We played Thistle and Foxglove, the weather was perfect, and the only downside was letting singles or twosomes play behind a foursome, which puts pressure on the foursome - we didn't like that part!
Go and play all 27 holes!
A short review. A serene and gloriously quiet resort course. A true mountain course. Blind shots, uphill, downhill and some tight tee shots. Greens around 10. Great clubhouse, full menu. Enjoy!
Beautiful course in beautiful setting
Greens are excellent; fast, smooth and soft. Fairways are short and release a nice divot. Holes are challenging and the course is well laid out.
One of the three nines is a fun, imaginative layout...
the other two are "bleh"...not worth the drive from the Portland area...plays soft and wet except in summer
Resort at the Mountain
Excellent weather and round. Course in fine condition with NO wet spots. This doesn't explain why it was cart path only. What's with that.

Course it was a little wet and carts were restricted to cartpath only. greens were beautiful and fast. excellent course I would definitely recommend!
