Course very good, traps not
Enjoyed the course and would likely play it again. Highly disappointed that the traps hadn't been reconditioned after the heavy rain 2 weeks ago. Id expect that from a muni but not here.
Great value for the money
Very good layout, greens were in good shape
Has a slow foursome ahead of us so we skipped a couple of holes and played quickly. Great value and a very friendly staff.
Good Northwoods Course
This is a well maintained course. It is a pretty north woods course that of course has a lot of trees. Greens rolled well and quick. I recommend staying in the fairway.
A very nice course
Played an afternoon round at a discounted rate (not quite twilight--we teed off at noon--but cheaper than morning rates). Course can be tight in some spots and there are a few blind shots that came as a surprise. The course conditions were excellent, greens were moderately fast and very undulating. Fairways were very clean. Rough was fairly light. Sand traps were extremely firm. A couple of nice features: multiple tee boxes for a wide range of player abilities, and the dogleg corners had posts with range-finder reflectors on them for accurate layup numbers. Overall the feel was parkland golf rather than a traditional "northwoods" course--in other words, very nicely manicured but not necessarily scenic.
Good track, good value, excellent pace of play
Particularly good values playing this course during the week. All the course was pretty full, our group managed to get around in just over three hours. As would be expected the course was in good shape given that it is August. Couple of small items, the range has us hitting off mats this late in the season? Some of the water coolers on the course were not filled. Overall, a great experience.
Excellent as Usual
I've been coming to the Northwoods for 40 years and play this course at least once every stay. This year it was in the best condition I've ever seen. Greens smooth and fast, fairways perfect. The trees however, have grown and still manage to catch some golf balls!!

A good challenge, the staff are friendly, range balls included. The course is in great shape. Play it!
Great course for a hot day!
Played 18 as a singleton on a busy day. Groups moved right along. Lots of interesting holes with hidden brush areas, lots of variation in height and challenging fairway widths. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Great shape
The course is in great shape, good condition. Very busy today so a little slow but not bad at all considering how many people are playing today. Staff is great, bev cart on site and pretty sweet overall. Love Timber Ridge!
