Great course
Everything was nice up to the 17th green. The greens keeper was blowing leaves next to the green. The greens keeper needs to turn off the tractor and blower. He sat next to the green and the blower motor stopped. He got off the tractor and restarted the blower. He had know clue. .
late season
very enjoyable time , course is so visually appealing.
Good overall experience
Friendly staff and starter, got us out on time, good pace of play, course was in good condition. A good overall golf experience.
Fun course. First time playing.
Course was in great shape. Nice layout. I’m not a great golfer, so I did lose a few balls in the woods. Will play again.
Lake weekend
The course was in great playing shape. This fit the definition of a Northwoods course - "tight-and-tree-lined." However, as soon as you were off the fairway, you were in the woods. The moral of the story is "don't miss the very fairway." While the course looks beautiful, I'm not sure the rate was commensurate with the experience.
Beautiful but could use some help
I love playing here, but am just a weekend warrior and play only about 10 times per year. Given that I'm not that serious of a player, I don't have a range finder, and go by the distances on the course. This course has a severe lack of yardage markers, and most times I had to walk around and inspect every sprinkler head to assess distance. It would be easy to place a 150 stake or marker on each fairway. That would bring my rating up a star.
Also, the club house should be able to set you up with a cooler and ice, and not have to drive to the snack shack to do so. Last 2 times there, they are running out of carts. Maybe with the high green fees they can buy a few more. This is truly a 50-60 dollar type course, not 80 bucks. If you charge that much, you need the amenities to justify it.
Overall a well- laid out course and beautiful surroundings and in good shape.
Please add distance stakes.
Thanks
Tight Course
Like many Northwoods Courses, this was a pretty tight course through the woods. The cost I felt was high for the conditions but more for the pace of play. We were stuck behind 3 groups of 3 playing best ball and the round lasted over 5 hours. This course is very much target golf with many tee shots only needing about 200-225 yards, but if you miss the fairway your ball is gone in the woods. The greens held pretty well and were decently paced but pin placements were less than desired with man being on a slopes. We played with pin placement 4 that day and I'm sure others would have been easier to attack. Overall it was a challenging course but pace of play and lack of a ranger to speed things up would keep me from coming back.
Good shape
The course was in good shape even thought it gets a lot of play. The greens were quick, but not penal. Some of the pin placements were tricky. Identifying pin placements in the carts is a good addition.
Nice northwoods golf experience
Have played many of the courses in the area and enjoyed this course.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We apologize for any inconveniences you experienced during your round, including the pace of play and the pin placements. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our customer experience.
