Unfriendly
Played there twice now in 3 years while vacationing and the staff was unfriendly both times
Love to play St. Germaine
Always love to play here. Course is in great condition and staff is always friendly. Fairways were very good and greens medium fast and receptive. Playing advice - not every par 4 is a driver hole. It's definitely on the rota when we vacation up here. Only downside is no liquor on Sundays so no Bloody Mary's .
Be prepared
We really enjoyed the course. However, the recent hatch of deer flies almost chased us off. They were beyond brutal.
They were worse on some holes compared to others.
Thankfully they won't be around in a few weeks.....
Heaven
Playing here, always a pleasure even if not playing with a cooperative ball for the day or maybe the club, him.
Great Course
Great course conditions. Pace was slow due to older player foursomes - five hour round. The adjoining restaurant was closed on Tuesdays??? So limited off course amenities. Little overpriced for the experienced and timing of the year.
Not your typical Muni
We really enjoyed this course. It was well-maintained and a great layout. It was very narrow at times, but still felt fair. Some very scenic holes with fun elevation changes. Greens were on the slow side and quite large with lots of undulation. Fairways were nearly perfect. Rough was moderate to light. Sand was good--and not much of it, which is always nice! Besides the greens being a little shaggy, the only other complaint is that all the par-3s played about the same, whereas we prefer a little variety. The 4s and 5s had great variability.
