Beautiful Northwoods golf course.
Great place to play. Beautiful course weaving through large trees.
Great people, Great course
Jerry and his people provide an outstanding golf experience. I would recommend the course to any golfer.
Slow play
The course was in excellent shape. It is laid out very nice. The negative is that there was a 5 some ahead of us and we had to wait every shot. It took us 5 hours to complete the round!
Beautiful course
This is my second time through GolfNow playing this course I'm very impressed by seeing the way that they took care of this course the Greenskeeper and the staff know what they're doing with this course everybody is friendly and pleasing and I would suggest to anybody to play this course and enjoy its amenities the greens each time I played this which is only 2 times are in beautiful shape I am so impressed with this course I would recommend it to anyone
Clint3249115,
Thank you for the wonderful review! We are glad you had a great time at the course, and we look forward to your next visit soon! We appreciate the recommendation.

Great challenge
Course in excellent shape. Narrow fairways real challenge and greens were fast. Slow pace of play (holiday weekend). Good walking course
A Must Play
Course is in excellent condition. Not a bare spot anywhere in the fairways and the greens are fast and perfect. Tee shot distance and placement are important. Play the right tees and you'll have a great day.
Great course speedy greens
Family and I had a wonderful time at the course. Beautiful and well maintained. Greens can be tricky...plays soft on approach but careful when putting! Overall a great and wonderful course.
Always a Good Time
Great challenging course. Got to tee off earlier than 12:48 tee time. Staff was very friendly. Beware the rough, some holes you will likely not find your ball. Sand traps could do with less stones. If you cherish your sand wedge, drop the ball out of the trap. Always try to play this course when "up nort".
Never lets me down
Great lay-out and always in great condition. Best Course in the area!! The staff are always so accommodating. They remember you even though I visit only 6-7 times a year. They never rest on their laurels and always give you a 5 Star Service. I am a dew sweeper and tee-off at around 6am and I am rarely held up by the maintenance crew on the fairways and greens. Which can sometimes be the case at other courses at that time of the morning. Par 3s are gettable and your 3rd shot on the Par 5s should be with a short iron if you get off the tee well. I always walk 18 in under 3 hours. Finally, after round eatery at Chef Renee's is second to none!
Thank you for your review! We appreciate you letting other golfers know what to expect out of our course. Please come back and play with us again soon!
Hard to score on the par 5's
I've played this course many times, I've never seen it in better condition. My only problem with this course is some of the greens are tucked behind large trees on the par 5's. You have to lay up or hope your ball misses the trees with your approach shot
Thank you for your kind review! We are glad you had a great time.
This course is in excellent condition
Timber Ridge is a top notch public course. It's challenging yet fair and it is in great condition. Afterward, we had dinner, and chef Rene provides outstanding food. If you want the total package for the money, this is for you.
Thank you for the 5 Star review! We're glad you had a great experience with us. Hope to see you again soon!
beautiful Northwoods golf course
this course is like one on the pro tour. lush fairways, multiple cut roughs, numerous doglegs, beautiful challenging greens. we're looking forward to playing it again.
Thank you for your 5 Star review and your awesome comparison! Glad we could provide you with an enjoyable day. We are looking forward to having you back!
Very very nice course
The course was in super condition. The greens were extremely receptive for iron shots. With dogleg holes I strongly recommend that you play from the proper tees to really enjoy the course.
Great Course
We had a foresome in front of us that was slow. They let us by and we were able to complete the back 9 in under 2 hrs.
Nice course need to be straight
The course was in great shape and the greens rolled true. Sand traps also in great shape. Seen some wildlife(deer).the bad was the course needed a ranger due to two threesomes of teenage golfers that we caught on the 10th. Other then that I enjoyed the course.
Very good Northwoods course
Timber Ridge is challenging but fair. It's in excellent condition, which it usually is. The greens were quick but not extreme.
I always enjoy playing there.
An added bonus is that the restaurant is now Chef Rene's - really top notch.
Excellent condition for this early in the year.
Staff very friendly. course was in great shape. Excellent food at restaurant after golf. Highly recommend.
Great North Woods Course!
I've played this course 8 times over the summer. Each time, the course has been in excellent shape. The staff is friendly and professional, and they drive a cart up to your car when you park.
A comment about their par 5's. 3 of them have greens set back behind trees, which makes it nearly impossible to reach them in two. They should thin/remove the trees so that a 300 yard drive can be rewarded with a shot at the green.
Two of the times I've played, we had excruciatingly slow play (3 groups at a tee box on one hole). Not saying it will happen to you, but I've seen lots of new players on the course, and some messaging about course etiquette would be valuable.
There is a fair amount of sand, and only a few holes have water on them. The rough can be tough in some areas, but is pretty fair. Greens are soft, and fairly fast.
They have a set of green tees, about 4500 yards, which is great for beginners and younger players.
Be sure an enjoy an after-round meal at Chef Renee's...great food!
dunc04,
