Nice track, terrible pace of play
Nice little layout & a fun challenge from the blues, but took 3 hours to play the front 9.
Quarantine Golf
Any chance to get out and play these days is a plus and we should be thankful for the chance. That coupled with the fact it was a perfect 70 degree day in early May meant we had to try a find an open tee time on a nearby course.
I've played this course a handful of times prior, so I knew what to expect. I know based on the surrounding area of courses this isn't the most attractive which lends itself to a lot of weekend warriors. That coupled with the fact WI was in quarantine and this provided some perfect outdoor time meant that the course was absolutely packed. Great for the course at large in these times but meant we had a lot of waiting and a 5:30 round for 18 as a twosome.
Having purchased a Wisconsin Classic Golf Tour pass for the 2020 season meant we got 1/2 off, an 11:30 tee time for $12.50 is hard to overlook, so we took the pace of play in stride and enjoyed to sun.
Pros:
Conditioning - Course was In really good shape compared to previous plays. Certain areas were roped off to maintain the course for future rainfalls, 9/10 tend to get very wet and waterlogged. No such instances of this during our round. A few trees have been removed since the previous play which allowed for more playability.
Playable - Except for 3 forced carries (3-5) the tee shots are all really playable and the course can be scored on.
Cons:
Greens - I'm sure it's for maintenance purposes, but the greens are pretty benign. Decent sized but mostly circle in shape and pretty flat.
Pace of Play - As mentioned, the pace was slow. I would like to say it's because of the time of year and amount of players on the course but I've played the course about 2 times a year for the past 4 years and I know when I go to grab an extra drink and enjoy the hang.
Overall
Great value for this time of year, playable and a great round to start the season off with. I would recommend this course but be sure to understand what you are getting. If you go in with that mindset it can still be an enjoyable round of golf.

This course is great for the money no its not a Geneva Lakes level course but its laid out very nice greens fairly fast I guess Ill call it a working mans course

Paganica = Solid Value Every Time
Paganica Golf Course is exactly what you would expect. A reasonably priced golf option that has a variety of holes to challenge many if not most golfers.
The course was in pretty decent shape - with fallen leaves adding difficulty to finding balls in the rough.

Nice, older style course..
Reasonably priced, old school course.. Smallish greens, simple clubhouse with bar.. fun layout, not overly tough but mature trees..
The bar staff and course personnel are very friendly and good..
A pleasurable experience.

First time playing this course. Some stuff was under maintenance but really nice course for the price
Decent course
First time playing the course, didn't know what to expect. Decent design and layout. Can't complain too much when you're paying $20-25 for 18 w/ a cart. Improved maintenance would make the course a 4*.

Good value
The course was still a bit wet from the recent rains. Soft areas were roped off and the grass was not too long. The course has a few challenging holes but is actually player friendly. The greens were recovering well from winter and the rest of the course was in good shape for spring. The course fees were reasonable and the staff friendly. A good value for your money.

great beer cart
the course was over booked,they had 2 groups of 2 walking,did not pair them up so we where back logged,we had group in front of us playing blue tees with average drive of 110 yards,took us,group of 2 almost 6 hours to do 18,average time waiting on tee box was 10 minutes,no ranger on course,no dress code,the staff was great,beer cart was super
Only worth it when a hot deal
Overpriced for what you pay normally, but fair priced when a hot deal. Fun short course plagued only little thought put into the layout. Friendly staff and beverage service though
Great golf for the price.
The course is always a lot of fun to play. There are some really challenging holes for any golfer and there's some easy holes for the novice golfer like myself.
