Downingtown Country Club

It was the slowest I ever played in 20 years ! Ranger Jim came after I left pro shop 2 messages at Hole 4 complaining of terrible slow pace. Zi think kid who answered in proshop shop tried to say we were onky 5 mins behind but he was incorrect it l25 mins!

Ranger Jim came and we explained it was a 4some like q groups ahead of us causing such delay. HE was kind enough to take us back to hole 1 where it was wide open. .Jim was very attentive as he came and checked on us q more times ! Jin is very Friebdly ! I would recommend course but call ahead and verify pace and get name of employee .

Course and layout was good. Five sets of tees.

Greens were quite slow. It seemed they were aerated a few weeks ago and maybe they were letting them grow in. It took a very strong putt to get the ball to the whole. The snack bar was closed and when we tried to get a hot dog after we finished our round we found that the bar was open but kitchen was closed.

The grass was perfectly watered and the the course was beautiful. I would recommend this course

It was a pleasure to play this course. The pace of play was great. Overall the course was in great shape. However, the greens were extremely slow. This is understandable to some extent when the weather was very hot everyone at the facility was very friendly. I would certainly go back and play that course again when I’m in the area.

GolfNow charged me twice when “book” was accidentally pushed appear a second time. Charged me twice for 1 round and REFUSED TO REFUND the second greens fee…wasted $61.00.

NEVER BOOK THROUGH GOLFNOW!!

This is my home course , so I’m a little biased. The course was in good condition when you think about all the rain we had the night before. The course was wet but not overly wet. There were spots. But overall the held up . The pace was slower because of the wet course conditions and they had an outing there with a company. The food and beer from the restaurant was superb as always.

Downingtown is a great facility. The greens were terribly slow and spongy and not in the shape you would expect from a course in this price range. Cmon Jaworski Golf. Get the greens back in the kind of shape that matches the greens fees. Staff is nice and the hot dog at the.pub was awesome!!
