Should have told you
No one stated that all of the greens were punched and covered with sand. In addition, many of the tees were under construction so the tee ground was from the front most position.
Off season round at Downingtown
This public course is really fun and good value in the shoulder season. The variety is good and the bunkering really good.
Course was in great shape the only issue was it was walking only and I was not told by the staff or Golf now that it would be walking only so I did not bring straps. Made it for a very difficult round but a beautiful course.
Banned from CGA rotation
As president of CGA, I take my responsibilities seriously when it comes to picking a golf course. I thought a Ron Jaworski course would be a good choice. Boy was I wrong! Jaws should be embarrassed at the dog track he calls his golf course. Both future members of the CGA in our foursome were equally appalled at the poor conditions. Possibly the worst course I’ve played to date and i played in over 60 last year alone in the Philadelphia area. Dare I say, worse than Stone Meadow. Hey Jaws, fix it up or sell it!
Great shape for February
A beautiful day for February so it was a bit crowded and slow but overall fine. A few tee boxes under repair but all others in decent shape. Fairways and greens all in good condition.
The only issue this time of the year at most courses in the area including this one is it is time to fertilize so it smells like sh..

Excellent conditions and fun layout
Tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens all in great shape. They’re keeping up with leaves as best as can be expected. Layout is fair, can see the greens from almost every tee box.
Decent but nothing special
Middle of the road public course. Slightly overpriced, even on a Saturday. It shouldn’t cost more than $60-$65 max to play here imo. Had a few beers and a cigar so it wasn’t a complete waste of time. Not in a huge rush to go back.

Downingtown CC
A nice opportunity to to play this course. Have not played here for over five years. They added some amenities like the putting green near the first hole. The course was well maintained and the greens were challenging. Would love to play it again.
Great condition for October
Second time playing this course and enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. Actually more as the fist time they had Aerated the greens earlier in the week. But the greens and course are in great condition. Will play again for sure
