Links at Gettysburg
About
The Links at Gettysburg sprawls across rolling hills situated near the hallowed grounds where the defining battle of the Civil War took place. The golf course wages a formidable challenge itself, featuring 35 steep rock cliffs where the stone-lined tee boxes are perched and 10 lakes and waterfalls that come into play throughout. Red rock cart paths give a contrast to the lush greens and sparkling blue waters. The dramatic elevations allow golfers to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside but the scenery can be almost too distracting since the demanding layout requires all of your attention. Be prepared for a bevy of strategically placed bunkers as well as mature trees. With the challenging layout and unrivaled views, it is no surprise that the Links at Gettysburg is ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in Pennsylvania.

The guy still works at the course after an overt racism situation. They support his actions or he would be FIRED!!!! Photo submitted by u9215442 on 06/24/2020

Always in great shape!!
The course was in great shape! The greens rolled good. The only negative is the driving range is terrible. Need to put some effort on the mat areas.
Great Round of Golf
First time playing the Links at Gettysburg in a few years and it did not disappoint. Beautiful weather and course. Course was overall in great shape except for a few bunkers that were very very wet or even had pretty large puddles. The layout requires you to have some strategy. It’s not overly difficult but you definitely can’t just go up to every par 4 or 5 and just smash the driver down the fairway. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They met us at the truck and loaded our clubs onto the cart and the starter even provided some tips for the first hole. Round took about 3 1/2 hours with another twosome in front of us. A great value especially compared to other courses in the Southern PA/Central MD area. Definitely a must play and plan on returning this season!
Nice course not up to its reputation,.
Greens are a bit slow and inconsistent. Most bunkers have pools of water and muddy.
Decent Golf in Southern PA
I was very excited to try the links at Gettysburg after hearing rave reviews from friends that had played there. After the round, I left somewhat disappointed after making the hour drive from Baltimore.
Pre-Round:
The range is very minimal and was mats only. The mats were in bad shape and you couldn't hit a driver off of them. The range and the practice green are across the parking lot from one another, so be sure to hit a few putts before heading to the range and the 1st tee.
Round:
The first 5 or so holes at Gettysburg seem tight and don't fit in with the rest of the course. Once you get to the 6th hole, it really opens up and that's where all the dramatic views and water come into play. From a layout perspective, there were quite a few holes sacrificed to create the signature holes on the course. The two easiest holes are 470 yard par 5s that seem to just be there to get to a par 72. The signature holes were great, but were weighed down by a few downer holes sprinkled throughout. Condition wise, the greens were bumpy and slow. It looked like they had aerated a few weeks ago, so its understandable. What was really disappointing were the uneven tee boxes and bunkers with little to no sand. For $81 on the weekend, I would hope for there to not be large chunks of solid mud/clay throughout the bunkers.
Overall - 3/5 with the signature holes really saving the day.
Another so so experience
Hi there, I’ve lived in the mid atl for 30 years and have been back-and-forth to the Links Of Gettysburg off and on. My last time there was in 2019, the summer, and the course was in really bad shape. I had read that 2020 was much better and was looking forward to a more pleasant experience today the first weekend in May. I was disappointed. For $80, I expect a pristine golf course. The greens were bumpy, the aeration and sanding had not healed, they did not roll well. The bunkers were not well cared for, the rough around the greens was very inconsistent. For that price point, it should be a much better experience. I can drive 15 miles in another direction to play Penn national and simply is no comparison from a manicure and maintenance standpoint. I won’t be back again for a while, I had some neighbors I had never played there and wanted to go out so I said I’d be happy to join. I was so disappointed, and $55 I would not be but at 80, it is way over priced
Perfect Conditions
It was windy...25mph sustained,, 40mph gusts, so needless to say, I got my lunch handed to me. The course however looked amazing. Greens were fast and true. Bunkers were not overly fluffy. Will definitely go back.
I think it would have been great but...
The course was fun expect for the fact that there was fertilizer all over the greens and approach. The stuff was sticking to the balls and clubs. Couldn’t putt at all. I don’t mind that they do it but I would have loved to know before I showed up to play with my father in law. We could have played somewhere else and saved my clubs from chemical exposure.
Great day
This course was by far the in best condition around the area. Loved this course.
