A challenging but fun course
From the start at the pro shop the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the course and facility. They made you feel like you're welcome and was quick to answer your questions and facilitate the speed of play..
They started us on 10 because they had a members event on the front nine. One of the members of the board came out and asked me if I if this was my first time playing and he was a fantastic ambassador of the course. His name was Sean formar. A great guy that every time he saw me on the course asked me how was I doing and gave me some instructions on where everything was on the course.
I will highly recommend this course to my golf buddies and I plan to return. I would like to thank the staff and the maintenance crew for being so accommodating.

STILL a good choice!
I was a little leery of booking this course based on some of the recent reviews. However, I am happy that I did.
The Good: GREENS: The most important factor for me when rating a course is the playability and consistency of the greens. These were very good in both aspects. The overseeding was coming in well..... They were smooth..... And as fast as anything I've played in the area so far other than Orange County National.
TEES/FAIRWAYS: there were a couple of rough tees.... But the rest were fine. The fairways were thin in a few spots...... But nothing like some of the other reviews implied. (It's winter.... For God sakes. Roll the ball around a little bit and be happy you're playing golf 😊). Some of the very low areas were a little soupy. Back to back recent hurricanes will do that. 🤷
PACE OF PLAY: It was a mixed bag. The front nine we were behind a foursome that were fairly slow. But as a twosome it could be that it just seemed that way..... Because we finished in less than 2 hours. We passed them at the turn And flew around the back. Total time was 3 and 1/2 hours..... As quick as I've played yet in Florida. Personally, when I go out as a twosome on the weekend... I expect to be slow behind foursomes. Golf is a foursome sport.... And I don't expect them to get out of the way every other hole to let twosomes through. Not fair to them. Personally I would prefer pro shops pair twos up for everyone's sake...but few do. 😞
LAYOUT: personally I really like the layout. For a Florida course in this area...... It's completely devoid of live oaks blocking shots that are well placed. Yes they are on the course..... But are to the sides and not crowding the fairways..... Or in the middle of them like some of the courses do. Does have some nice aesthetics with stone walls etc.
The BAD: Okay... So it's not in the same shape it was a few years ago when I last played it. I also didn't pay nearly as much as I did back then. Obviously the new ownership is working to bring the course back..... And are charging a very reasonable rate until they get it there. But rest assured...... It's in far better shape than some of the reviews imply. I would return tomorrow to play it again, even though it's an hours drive. 😁🏌️

Love the course layout. New owners are slowly bringing it back. Greens were 100% better.
The course is looking better but they need to clean their bathrooms on the course they are disgusting.
OK Course
Fairways were sparse, I know they are overseeing. OK conditions, just expected more.
Nothing special
Course not really in good shape, layout is a bit weird, blind shots on almost all tee shots.
But for the price it’s ok.

The course was in good shape. Challenging but in a good way. Didn't score well but it was the first time in the course. I'll be back to try again.

Whether you just want to hit some range balls or okay a challenging round at an affordable rate this is your place. Getting better shape everyday. Make sure you are awake and ready as the first hole will make sure you are not a one shot wonder ! You’ll see

Great condition.
I could not believe that there were not more golfers out there. Greens were excellent, fairways above average for the area. Had a great time and played in 3 1/2 hours. Will definitely be back!
