Lake Nine at Lake Forest Yacht & Country Club

Every aspect of playing at Lake Forest is much better than the other local course. Clearly they have done a ton of work on tee boxes, fairways, and the greens. Everything was in great condition and was fun to play. The carts are relatively new and all of the cart paths are in good condition.

Three negatives however are one: there isn’t a proper “turn” so you heavily rely on the beverage cart, but there is a nice restroom at hole ten if needed. The second is the driving range is irons only, which means you are hitting your driver for the first time off the first tee. Third the restaurant at the clubhouse is nothing to call home about. The food is adequate but definitely not a selling point.

All in all, a course worth playing.

Friendly staff. Loved the course. Greens a little slow but in fairness the weather has been unusually hot. Fairways are in great condition. Will be back to play again.

On vacation for a few weeks in GS...trying a few different courses. LF is off the beaten patb (about an hour inland) but it's a fun course. Has a few fun elevated par 3s whiich is unique to the area. A few par 4s and 5s challenge you to either hiit perfect drives OR try you long irons, which are my weakmess (amoung many).

A few greens had burn areas but at this point in the heat wave, I haven't seen perfect greens.

LF is a fun course. Recommended.

Very tough weather conditions, but the course and staff held up very well! Very good experience!

I love this course, the elevation changes were unique for this area. Pretty old home tucked into hard wood tress were nice to sèe.

The course was in great condition. It was a little challenging with some narrow fairways and elevation shots. Great course overall.

Course overall is in good condition. Some tee boxes need an overhaul. Couple of greens need a little work. Clubhouse is severely outdated and in poor condition. Overall it is a good everyday playing course.

I always enjoy playing golf at Lake Forest… a nice course at a fair price…..

This is the best condition you will find the course in throughout the year. Greens and fairways are well grown-in. Greens are a little slow, and holes need to be re-cut...looks like they haven't been moved in at least a month.

For the money you can’t beat the quality of this course. Can’t wait to be back out there with the boys!

I played well at this course, and no pressure from other golfer's playing
