Winter conditions
As expected this time of year...however, the greens are the poorest I've seen anywhere around. Am sure they'll come back with warmer weather, but can't recommend them right now.
Nice hilly treed golf course
First time to play.at Timbercreek. Warmly greeted in golf shop. Difficult to judge overall course conditions during dormant time of the year. Some greens have bare spots and cart paths are damaged in some areas. Liked course as I played Magnolia and Dogwood. Will return for future play.
What happened?
Thought this course was one of the better kept in the area. It seems like they have done nothing in quite some time. The greens were poor, some damaged and most had no grass . Traps are terrible with no sand no rakes loaded with leaves. Cart paths are a disaster with lots of busted up cement.
Everything’ about staff and facilities are excellent. Just wish they would put that much effort into the course.
Disappointed
Love the course and area
Love the course but it needs a lot of work,. Staff was exceptional and friendly
Always fun here course condition is just average typical of January Cart paths are awful but you know that when you come
Could be great!
Love the course and layout but it needs lots of work. Great people running things, really enjoyed playing.
Nice Facility
Nice golf facility but not the greatest of conditions. Traps had little or no sand. Greens were okay.
Golf staff staff was accommodating.
Layout of the course is fun to play. Will play again in the future.
Good place tomolay
Nice courteous employees. Course was in good shape. The only problem. Was the bunkers (fairway and green side bunkers. Majority of the bunkers the condition were hard and texture was inconsistent.
Greens were fairly fast . Fair course. Well worth playing .
Terrible equipment
The cart paths are garbage you better strap you clubs on and check several times. I have snapped a driver here. My cart had a flat tire and would not start every time the course has potential but they are not spending the money to bring it back. The sand traps are hard clay no maintenance.
Not going to bash it
Look- This used to be a helluva track. It now looks like they just don't have the maintenance staff to work the grounds. Bunkers washed out and need sand. Good sand. Lots of leaves that need to be either picked up or blown into appropriate areas. The greens are not in great shape, but are certainly puttable. Some of my friends and I occasionally drive over from Pensacola when we get bored with our home track, but we'd come over more often for a better maintained course. The layout of the courses is excellent and well designed. Put money and basic man-power in and get this place back to where it used to be. If the owners want to manage on "the edge of profits"- good luck. Bottom line: I'll play it again, but hire some grunts and get those leaves up, and fix your bunkers.
