Fun course, but terrible pace of play
This course is fun, staff are really friendly, greens are in good shape, most tee boxes are in good condition—and they move them around which is nice. The only negative is the pace of play. There are routinely groups of 5-6 (sometimes more) on weekends which ends up bottlenecking at some point, and turns it into 5 hour rounds at times, which has happened three of the last four times we’ve played here.
Challenging
The course was in generally good condition. The greens were a bit inconsistant with some being long and dlow and others fast. Several holes were stright uphill presenting some interesting club choices. We had to consult the map on the scorecard to find the next hole several times. If not for thst we would be truly lost. A good course however and one that we would play again.
Good Course for the Price
Staff was friendly and it was a good pace of play when I went. The greens and tee boxes were a bit “rough” and the layout of the course was confusing.
Overall, the course wasn’t bad for what I paid to play, but the course needs some TLC
Cross Creek
I had played this course several years ago and didn’t remember much about it. It was hot and dry. The fairways were nice however there are creeks that cross many of the fairways and some are not visible from where you are hitting so you can get in trouble on some holes. The greens on the front had been aerated and sanded. They were aerating the back while we were there. So putting was difficult. Greens would have been ok otherwise. Overall we decided it was an average course for our area and we will probably play it again in the future.
Holiday Round
Had a 12:44 tee time and got started at about 1:35 because they ran out of carts. 15 were out of service for batteries. They allowed a group of 6 play together that slowed everyone down !
Course has lots of potential - friendly staff
Challenging course but the day we played the greens were cut too short in my opinion.
The greens were a little unpredictable and I felt like I couldn’t attack the greens because nothing was sticking..
The course needs more water. The fairway should be more lush this time of year. Still a fun course with nice views. I’ll be back again when I’m in town.
I did notice a few Auburn fans out there but I guess they have to play somewhere 😎
Nice course just a little tight
Holes seem to overlap, most players playing balls from fairways of a different hole.
Great value though
Once a week golfer
Nice course.Layout is a bit tricky for a first time player of the course but the regulars were very helpful in pointing me in the right direction.Tee boxes could use a little work, greens were in really good shape rolled good and were quite fast.Water isn’t really in play but there are several small ponds all over the course and not a sand bunker to be found.Fairways have not come to life yet but they were still in good condition .Small creeks crisscrossed several fairways forcing you to either lay up or go for the greens.Overall good course very easy to get to just 4.2 miles off I-65.Friendly Staff.Putting green next to Pro Shop and Driving range across the road. I’m sure I will go back and play it again.
Wet and cart path only
We had lots of rain and the course was wet and cart path only. That made the pace very slow and the fairways almost unplayable! Played 9 holes and quit!
