Limestone Springs Golf Club

I was a little disappointed with the overall condition of the course. I would still consider the greens in great shape. They were understandably a little slower due to the summer heat. Where I was disappointed with the condition of the other grasses like the rough and the fairways. Lots of crab grass choking out the Bermuda in both the fairway and rough. Bunkers were in terrible condition with grass growing in the bunkers and bunkers unworked. I really hope they can turn this around, but if it continues to get worse than it is now then I have a feeling they will lose a lot of play due to the regular price they charge to play. I've played there a lot in the last 3 years and this is the first time I have left disappointed with course conditions.

If RTJ is a 9/10, Limestone yesterday is a solid 8.25. They had some t-box issues and the bunkers were subpar. The greens and fairways, however, were in excellent shape. The greens were a tad slower than the RTJ I regularly play (Silver Lakes), but then again, most greens are slower than them. Limestone's greens yesterday rolled nicely with only a couple of hops here and there. It's worth the drive to play. They are "cards" only for the cart girl, which is a little aggravating.

Played this course sunday. Absolutely outstanding greens. A little slow but it also rained and they were still at 9.5. Greens were tricky too, little humps compared to something like RTJ. Fairways were most excellent too even though it dumped about an inch of rain so every hole was cart path only. Some bunkers need work, but with the recent storms its understandable -- easy fix just dont play out of them. Storam tree damage but that didnt detract as it takes a lot to maintain a course. Will be back many times! Wonderful staff, great golf staff. Super friendly staff in the clubhouse snack bar/food area. Good food -- had a hot dog and if a hot dog is better than average you know the rest of the food in the place is.

The golf course was in very good shape greens were were fast and smooth it is a beautiful course with alot of neat holes

Best bang for your buck, especially with the GN discount. It was cartpath only but very well understood. Great golf courses takes care of their course first.

Limestone Springs is in great shape and nice challenge for all. The clubhouse grill had great food (I had eaten at the exclusive “Willow Point” club the day before and I preferred my burger here at LS) and the staff was friendly. Great value with down to earth folks. A couple of sanded repair patches on a couple of the fringes, it looked like due to limbs falling from storms earlier in the year, but nothing that affected play and should be healed by later spring.

Just the coolest course. Secluded, great conditions, great carts, awesome scenery. Little slice of heaven. Must play if you’re in the area or state. Lol

Great deal on the course. Due to the weather, they had three holes shut down that could not be played. Was cartpath only due to the wet conditions in the prior days. Tried calling to find out this information before booking and no one answered the phone in the Pro Shop Called three times. Course has some of the best greens anywhere and fairways. It was just a bad weather day. Restaurant is five stars overall experience was good during winter months.
