Oak Mt
I have played this course multiple times and always enjoy the challenge. The course was in really good shape this past time I played. Oak Mt isn't an extremely long hitting course but it looks like it is and I find myself wanting to over swing my clubs which tends to get me in trouble. If you steady your power, the course plays very well. The greens were tough to get a hold of because of how fast they played and it took me several holes to get a good feel for the speed.
Good all around course. Do recommend
Well kept greens, manicured fairways and nice layout. Rice is reasonable for quality of course
Great Round of Golf
Played this course on a Saturday at 2:30pm. Marshall/Starter was very friendly and was visible on the course. We play here often and have always had a good experience.
Great course, beautiful setting!
I love playing at Oak Mtn! This was my first round here this year and it did not disappoint. The tee boxes and fairways were great, and the Bermuda greens were soft from the rain and rolled straight and smooth. Can't wait to get back out there again soon.
If you enjoy getting "away" from the hustle and bustle, go play Oak Mtn. You're likely to see some wildlife during your round if you're lucky.
Decent course for the money
Overall this is a decent course. The afternoon rate is $33.50 plus tax for 18 with a card (after 2 pm) . Feel that this could be a little lower seeing as RTJ twilight rate is only $5 more. The course is fairly busy, even during the week, which makes for a somewhat slow pace of play. I have paired up with someone every time I have played there just to speed things up. A lot of people walk this course also which slows things down as well. But overall, the conditions of this course, are pretty decent. There are a lot of annoying little ditches/streams however that can get in the way sometimes.
The greens are kept in very good condition.
The course is in a state park so the setting is pretty nice and the course is well cared for.
