Ballantrae Golf Club

Very hot and humid, but great course conditions made up for the inconvenience of being so hot.

Course condition was outstanding. The greens were in excellent condition.

This is a good quality public course. The greens are always a bit firm and the grass hasn’t started to green up in the fairway. Overall for the time of year it is the course is in pretty good condition.

The course is still in great shape even after rain. Only one muddy hit all game. 2 weeks in a row, 6-7th time this year…pace of play was terrible! Yahoo foursome 3 groups ahead had 3 holes clear in front of them and every hole on front nine, we had a gallery of people at tee box watching. Adding pressure to the problems the already frustrating slow pace was causing. People need to learn that you don’t hit 3-4 balls a piece and take minutes lining up 4th putts! I think maybe the staff could stretch “cart path only” days to a 15 interval between tee times. Once marshal straightened out problem, last 5 holes were good. From double bogeys to 3 birds. Pace makes a difference.

Great course, no cart girl, no course attendants or marshalls, 2 domes everywhere causing extremely slow play!

This golf course is my favorite. It is so well maintained and beautiful. For the money you cannot beat it.
