slow play
quit after 14, was on pace for an almost 5 hour round. just didnt have that sort of time. guy in the pro shop insisted i join another 3 some in front of me. nope, not doing that as long as i'm not holding anyone up, and i did not. some fairways were so hard you'd break your wrist taking a divot. too many other places to play to play here again. have played here before, always the same.
Gets better and better
From tee box to green, consistently clean, divots refilled. Improvements being performed and old tree stumps being removed. Its not easy to lose a ball here which can save most of us an extra 20 bucks a round.
Great layout
I would replace the downed trees with other trees & tall grasses. Save a lot of money by reducing the amount of grass that needs be cut. Course was in good shape.
90° Weeks
Even though we have not had rain for weeks and 90 every day the greens were green and so were the fairways.. Always a great place to play.
Great conditions. Rough is thick and tough.
Played with a buddy and got paired up with another 2 some. Rick, works at the course and he gave us great caddy info. Course is green and lush. Rough was very thick. Enjoy playing at this course. The back 9 was slow and backed up on the par 3’s. Otherwise, enjoy playing here.
RUDE Staff
I’ve played this course several times with no issues in the past. However, today i decided to take younger my brother for his first round of golf. We were paired with 2 other gentleman that were fantastic. However, the starter and staff in the clubhouse were extremely rude from the start.
- The pro shop attendant was rude and off putting as soon as we walked in the pro shop. Like he was upset we interrupted his morning.
-Excited to share that this was my brother first round I mentioned it to the starter. THIS was a mistake. We played through the first tee at which point the starter came up to us and told us and told us “we had 2 hours to get to the turn”. As a season golfer this is common sense, so I didn’t see the need for him to warn us in a stern tone.
- We let the three some that was behind us play through as they were good golfers and had one less than we did.
-At the turn (which we hit in 2 hr 10min due to the play through) we were approached by the grumpy pro shop attendant and the same starter asking us “If we were the group with the first timer” and that we were holding up everyone and they had “3 calls about pace of play”. This I knew was a complete lie and they were targeting us because my brother has never played. When tried to explain that the group behind us was 2 holes off our pace. The grumpy pro shop attendant told me to “worry about the group in from of us” which makes 0 sense.
My brother is now turned off from Golf due to the rude behavior from the staff. I have convince him that it is not like this at any other courses. The 2 people that we were paired with also reassured him that these guys were just extremely rude and golf is not always like this. So he agreed to again, but DEFINITELY NOT AT FAIRVIEW
-I will never play this course again until they make changes to their staff. RATHER THAN MAKING A NEW PLAYER FEEL WELCOME, THEY TOLD HIM TO HIS FACE THAT HE WAS THE REASON EVERYTHING WAS BACKED UP…. WHICH IN REALITY, it was the group still 2 holes behind us that caused the backup.
I came for the price and nice course. ILL NEVER COME BACK BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE!
