City Park Golf Course

It’s always good to revisit the course that you first learned to play golf on…My case, during the mid 1970’s.

BREC has spent some money on layout changes, greens and new carts. The changes are all good and the old course is just a blast to play.

Greens hold and putt well. Those folks that hit long irons well can leave the big clubs in the trunk.

Slow slow play, terrible greens, still fun for passing the time. Cheap cheap play so I didn’t expect much and honestly probably got more than expected.

The greens are in very poor condition. They are mostly sand, thus the poor rating.

First time come and last time went to check in the girl was very nice the older short bald guy was very rude disrespectful and gave me the worst cart they had the weel was so messed up it would bump not ride but bump u everywhere the marshal was awesome. Course was very very confusing a couple groups didn't even know what tee they were on or where the greens. Very confusing place the short bald guy was absolutely pitiful will never come back if I see that guy is still working there

Love this course. Perfect place to get in a quick 9 or 18. Greens could use a little work but overall we love this place.

Pace of play was very slow. . Too many people to a group. Drinking beer and playing golf a No No. Stop drinking or go elsewhere. More active, proactive marshaling.. Not just sitting at number 1 tee box. Get out, drive around to speed the pace of play.

Nice little 9-hole course. Greens are not in the best of condition but the course has been improving over the last twelve months. A lot of the scrub and bushes had been cut back over the winter, but starting to overgrow again.

All in all its good value for money

Pretty overall decent course for a 9 hole course.

I hate going to 9 hole courses and never pulling out the driver at least you have some driving opportunities here. Keep in mind a few things

1 they don’t have a driving range

2 no cart girl so pack your own water and snacks

3- very hilly (please watch the party in front of you so you ensure everyone’s safety)

4- greens are super fast, barely tap it and it’s flying (they do have a practicing putting area, when you aren’t dodging someone else chipping)

5- the staff was rude this morning in the clubhouse, not sure if it is short man syndrome, or if his wife left him that day but he was not pleasant.

Nice 9 hole course, guy who answered the phone let me change my tee time but when golf cart ran out of juice the attendant told me “nothing I can do for you”, so played only 9 of the 18 I paid for

First time playing this course. Learned it is only 9-Holes. So I paid for 2 rounds of 9-hole golf.

The first round of 9 wasn’t bad. The second round was awful. Pace of play went downhill. There were at least 4 different groups waiting at the same hole at times.

Ended up calling it at the 7th hole which really is an awful hole. Because of the hill, you’re blind to the direction of the green and the pin.

You can never be too early to play at City Park if you plan 18 holes on the 9 hole course. Front 9 was a learning round but the pace was good. As a single was able to play through a slow group and the pace was good. The course had some surprises that a first time player won't know until they get in trouble - the roads and tracks are closer than you think and 8th hole direction not clear from the tees as the cart path turns right but the course goes left. Was a fun day even though had to do some scrambling to save par on many holes.

Awesome little 9 hole course for the price. Greens are nice. Pace of play was pretty slow. Played by myself and when I went to start the back 9….the 10th hole had about 4 groups of people waiting to tee off.
