Nice track!
Very well taken care of for a public course. Most tee boxes and greens in great shape. Back 9 gets tighter and offers a great challenge. Overall really enjoyed playing Skippack, and will return in the future.
Course is fun to play
Conditions are pretty good. Some of the tee boxes are bad but most are decent to good. Greens and most of the fairways are in good shape . The cart I had was a piece of crap
Skippack golf
Course is in great condition. Great for average players. Not a long course but good to play
Colossal Waste of Money
What an unbelievably bad experience. Booked solo knowing id get paired up which is perfectly fine. Late afternoon tee time. 2 HOURS AND 50 MINUTES TO GET THROUGH 9 HOLES. Now im not a big complainer about waiting a few at the tee box but good Lord was this awful. Wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to make it to the 14th hole before the sun went down so paid for 18 riding and made it through 10 before a THREE GROUP backup. Saw one person from the clubhouse ride out while on the 8th hole. He made it the length of 1 hole, said nothing to anyone and left. Not a soul to be found in terms of staff at the turn. I understand that the game is growing, and that growth brings people with zero experience or etiquette which slow the game but courses can mitigate this. 9 minute tee time windows are a disgrace when half your clientele cant get off the tee box in 9 minutes and then nobody rising the course keeping up pace of play on a Saturday afternoon. This is not my first time playing here. Luckily the first time was less terrible but this sealed it for me. Spend your money if you dare, you may only get half of what you pay for. The course is in sub par shape but at least the acoustic music you can hear from a par 4 away was decent. This would get a resounding zero stars if I could give it.
Enjoyed Monday here
The title being said is true but there was a few areas that could change the rating for the better. First was bare spots on the fairways. I think the need for more aeration dates is needed because there has been sufficient rain to keep the lawn mowers going. The tee boxes were, in a word, poor. I needed to move back from the location designated to tee from, just so I could see grass under my ball. Maybe anchored tee mix boxes and a chained scoop. It’s obvious nobody (except myself and my partner) didn’t use the mix provided on the cart.
My only other remark is it was Monday and the restaurant is closed. That’s a shame because I’d like to have a drink and a meal here after my round.
Great course
Interesting layout, some short, some long. Par threes are a good challenge, and 18 is a great place to watch people come in.
Great course
Played on June 23 and had a great day. Course in great shape although getting a little dry. Greens were smooth and fast. Great value for what you pay.
Don't go on a hot day!
Overall the course was in good shape. The rough is pretty rough and you will at times struggle to find your ball if not on the fairway. The cart we got was so slow, compared to other carts. No water coolers in the course at all. After 9 holes, I asked where they are located so I could fill up my container and was directed to pay for water in the clubhouse. Come on! It's over 90 degrees out with older folks golfing. Not cool. It got pretty backed up due to slow play but not a ranger in site the entire day. Then we wanted to grab a beer in the bar after we played to cool off but it was closed and we were directed to use the outside bar instead. Again, it's hot and humid out!
Pay on their site, not through golfnow. Its a rip off.
Hot Day
The staff was excellent. The course conditions we good. Only real complaint is that they did not have water on the course for the players, nor a beverage cart. It was a 94 degree day.
