rolling hills, cloudy skies and north wind, and cart path only led to a long but decent round. Mother nature won today but I would come back under different conditions.
A few of the greens were a little thin but just coming out of a late winter storm so it is what is..
I loved the topography as we don't see this much back home.

At $30 I felt like I overpayed
I mean for $30 what was I expecting??? Not sure. Driving range is only 200 yards Long. Traps were crap, greens not well kept.
Tough, beautiful, fun
This course is absolutely beautiful! Even though I played rather poorly I enjoyed every minute. The course is challenging but not so much that it makes it less than enjoyable for a mediocre player like myself.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and all smiles.
Big potential
Overall layout is great. A true test of golf skill. Hills, contours and plenty of trees and water. Greens were fast but could have rolled much better. Fairways a bit fuzzy but not horrible. 49 years ago this course was top notch. I’d like to see it get back to that someday.
Back yard fairways!
I felt like I was hitting in my back yard when I got in the fairway. Way over grown and so many weeds and different types of grass!! I like the course lay-out. Some greens where nice but most had dead spots! This course used to be so nice. Not sure what happen. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Nice course
Haven’t played here in a long time. Pleasantly surprised with the shape the course is in. Played very nicely. Would go back.
Had a fun round. Due to being the first time playing, I needed a little "direction" on how to get around the course but the local players were very friendly and helpful. The course was in fair shape for the heat and played well. Fun time.
Good shape for winter
Course is in great shape. Greens are typical for winter but rolled very smooth. A challenging layout and fun to play.

Found the course to be in good condition for the time of year. I was a little disappointed in the condition of the greens.
Hidden Gem
I've played Northwood many times over the last 5 years. I will say the new owner and staff have brought this place back to life. Fairways are setup perfect for the dormant grass for winter, being about 1/2 inch longer than summer cut. This will make the course playable for the cold winter months. The greens held shots well and puts rolled true. Overall a great experience and 2 of us played 18 holes in 3 hours. I will be playing there again this winter.
