Nice layout. Fall golf conditions.
Friendly staff. Not very busy. Fairways were a bit patchy and tee boxes were long. But for a fall round it was not bad.
Beautiful course, but employees on the front desk need to be more friendly!
I dont want to take away the beauty of this golf course from the unfriendly attitudes of front desk employees, but sadly, it can dampen the experience. There is so much beauty you will find from this gem in the middle of the desert, from majestic backdraft of the arizona desert and the lush fairways and greens, but what you will not find is a friendly spirit from the front desk. Really really sad that I am talking about it in that aspect, but its just the truth. Okay, I made my point, so go and play because this course is really beautiful. Avoid the rough unless you want to hack them LOL, be careful, those thick grass can do damage to your arms if you hit them hard. I heard they dont cut them often, so the rough are the conditions from US Open. If you dont have the strength of dustin or dechambeau, dont hit hard. The greens are well maintained and are very good condition. The driving range is not in great shape, there is really no place to hit the ball on a short grass, its like a cow pasteur , they are just too tall. Your cow will be happy though, a lot of tall grasses to eat. This course is not very long but dont underestimate it, it can bite you hard if you dont hit them straight. My overall experience would have been better if front desk was nicer, but that was out of my control, the golf course is in great shape, so just make sure you bring the Aloha spirit within you. You will love this course, so play it hoping that your experience with front desk will be better. Enjoy!
Perfect Neighbor
We've played the Cliffs since 1988. The staff is always friendly and well informed..The weather is special for us river rats this time of year. Thanks for another great day!
Great course, Greens were recently aerated which made putting a crap shoot. But because I golf there on
a regular basis L know they will be pristine in no time.
Great local course in Kingman, Arizona
Wonderful course along I-40 in Kingman, Arizona. Really enjoyed the course layout, especially the back 9. Be ready for some very windy days and some high scores. Greens roll very fast and a few have huge swales. “US Open” type greens!
Good luck on 16, 17, 18 - especially if hitting into the wind on 16 & 17. Course also has some tremendous Par 5 holes - into the wind, with the wind, and crosswinds. Will look forward to the fairways getting in better condition as the Summer gets closer. Also, elevation is at approximately 3300 feet, so there can be varying weather conditions.
More than meets the eye.
The course looks quite average driving past it and even when one begins play but the holes play tougher than they look and the greens are far more challenging than they appear. However, they need to create a map of the course for first time players. Holes are scattered all throughout a housing development and follow no logical order.
Fun in the Wind
Out of towner from Vegas, first time here, very friendly staff in clubhouse.. helped us get started and no pressure to put us in other groups. pace of play was superb, didn't have to wait more than a couple shots for groups in front of us. bunkers kind of a joke, little depth or sand. no water on course. carts are gas, which I prefer. no GPS, so was left guessing yardage a lot. so many par 5s followed by par 3s. overall, a fun time - will be back!
Great layout
Great layout with lots of variety of holes. Love the three par 3s, 4s and 5s on back nine. Last three holes are awesome. The Grass on tees, fairways were really shaggy. The greens were fast, smooth and receptive. Great value halfway between Phx and Vegas. Helped break up the drive.
BEEEEEAUTIFUL !
This is a very pretty course ! Well maintained and NO SKRIMPING ON THE WATER !!! Compared to another course in the area this one is downright LUSH !!! Staff very friendly including the ranger to help things moving along. First time all 18. Have walked front 9 a few times and a little bit of a hike between some holes. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK THE BACK 9. !!!!! It is sprawled out but even more beautiful than the front 9.
Overall one of the prettiest courses you can find. Look for deer up in the rocks!
Super course at good value
About twice as crowded as other times we’ve played because of NV and CA golfers. Happy to share the space and glad the staff continue to do such a good job keeping up conditions.
Real Grass in AZ
Beautiful scenery, wonderful course maintenance. Super value And we can still play golf in AZ with appropriate distancing
Very good course
You will not be disappointed with a round at this course. The last three holes are awesome. This course offers plenty of slope, water, and bunkers to make it a course even for the par golfers
Golf that’s affordable
Great golf course and very reasonable prices! Weather was bad today but that’s ok still had a great time.
Oasis in Mojave area
Some holes hard to find. Signage could be better. Muni trys to keep good maint ongoing. Plenty of elevation changes. Used many clubs. 16 17 18 are awesome setup holes. Worth the drive from laughlin.
