Insanely muddy, wet, puddles of mud and water anywhere. Walking the fairways had our shoes soaked by round 2. No news when some people just quit bc they were tired of their feet soaking wet. Over grown grass anywhere and everywhere.

Hasn’t been mowed in like a month. Going to give it a year and try again. Greens are good

The course needs a lot of attention. The fairways are very rough with many uneven lies and a lot of the fairways were not mown to a proper level. There was no water on the course which in the summer is not acceptable.

Hopefully improvements will return this course to a proper standard for an enjoyable round of golf.

Drove approximately an hour and a half to play this course during a golf trip. Upon arrival at the course, we were informed that the front half was closed and that we were only allowed to play the back 9. The employee in the pro shop told us that he didn't even know until the morning that this would be the case. Since we drove so far to play, we decided to give it a shot. That was not the right call. The course was in awful condition. Grass on the entire course, including the greens, was overgrown. The fairways were full of holes and led to lost balls thay should have been in the middle of the fairway. The first cut was knee high grass. This is not the first time that I have been to the course but it definitely will be the last.

TLDR: course was partially closed and in awful condition. Don't waste your money.

All the other reviews are accurate. The cart path is the WORST I’ve ever seen. They haven’t cut the grass in weeks. If you don’t hit the fairway your ball will be lost. Fairways are tight - which is fine. But as soon as your ball gets into the rough the ball will be submerged and there’s no finding it. Tee boxes are overgrown. Greens weren’t the worst I’ve seen but there’s a ton of sand pits on them

They need to mow. If you miss the fairway, you will loose your ball. Knee to hip high weeds everywhere. Lost a ball in a grass "bunker" in the fairway. I will give them some credit for working on the cart paths. Although it won't last long, they used millings vs concrete or pavement and it will washboard and be terrible soon. It's a shame this coarse could be awesome. They also did a terrible job patching the greens, they didnt properly lay and level the sod. Run the mowers guys, it would make a world of difference.

This course must have been something special in its heyday. But it is in really rough shape. there are more sand pits on the greens than actual grass. Huge swaths of dirt on the fairways. And the cart paths are a one way ticket to the chiropractor. Just mow the course once in a while, seriously. If you don't hit the fairway, you will never find your ball in the waist high rough, the first cut. The second cut of rough...well, I guess that would be the greens.

I had heard good things about ColoVista back in the day, but never got a chance to play before my injury. I finally got out there yesterday and it was rough. The course is in really horrible condition, sand pits on the greens, indistinguishable fairways from the rough, and the cart paths are non-existent.

It was amazing to me, how little care was put into this course. Just a mow would do it wonders. And the intermediate rough was so long, if your ball rolls just off the fairway, you will lose it. Balls that anywhere else in the world would be easily findable and playable, just disappeared. Maybe this is by design, the range balls were a collection of used lost golf balls.

There was a self server hot dog warmer, no water on the course, and the putting green was a mowed area of grass with sticks to simulate flags, no cups.

I will not be back.

I had a 9:20 AM tee time and was immediately impressed by the view from the pro shop entrance. We had a 90-degree cart rule in effect, though carts were strictly prohibited on holes 2, 6, and 16.Thanks to the recent frequent rain in Texas, the fairways were in good shape. However, the greens were a mixed bag; some were in poor condition, which felt like a letdown for a $51 green fee. The cart paths on the front nine were essentially a mud pit, and while the back nine was better, there were still several spots with standing water.The tee boxes were generally well-maintained. One major challenge was the heavy rough—if you miss the fairway, it’s incredibly tough to find your ball. Make sure to bring plenty of extras if your driver is feeling shaky.Overall, if the price stays around $50, I’d be open to visiting again.

Bobby and his crew take really great care of the course. You can tell they're actively keeping up with the maintance on the course. Will be back for sure!

Course doesn't drain well. Still in good shape. Greens are still growing in. Will probably be good in few months.

The course itself was pretty good. The front nine really still needs some works but the back line got better after they did the work and they’re currently trying to fix nine so once they get it fixed, it’ll be a great course but it’s still a fun course for the price

Great course the back nine is beautiful. They’re working on the front nine and it shows that they’re trying to improve it. Me and my buddy had a great time out there. Recommend this course.

Course played very nice. Conditions of the course were good for early spring. Greens will get better in time. Some tee boxes were a little tight and hard ground.

Overall a good experience on this course, I’ll play it again.

Simple as the caption. The back 9 was enjoyable and impressive. The front nine was very rough. Lots and lots of sand. Felt like two completely different courses. Shop guy was nice and friendly, things were relatively cheap in there. No real food options though.

Greens were aerated and made putting more difficult. Many holes were cart only due to water or wet fairways .
