Riverchase Golf Club

We had 2 tee times, but unfortunately 2 in our group cancelled last minute. Instead of letting us play 3 and 3, the golf shop forced us to play 4 and 2. Due to cart shortage as the golf shop help says, but our tee time was at 8:50 so plenty of carts. I said never heard of this, then the employee threatened in this manner, "well, I could just charge you for the 2 no shows...either way we are keeping the extra cart". Not only that, but the course conditions were horrible. Huge earth cracks everywhere, so never knew what type of bounce even in the fairways. The greens were cut in way smaller than normal so less maintenance they have to keep up with. You can tell the outline of the greens prior, but now all fringe. Tee boxes were like concrete. Let's not forget the bunkers needing some major maintenance as well. At least offer a discount till course conditions get way better!

The pace of play was great. The only things that need change on this course is a better watering system(sprinkler system) and all new cart paths. The layout of this course is excellent for mid to high handicapped golfers. It has some challenging but fair holes and some risk reward holes. I liked the layout and look forward to playing here again.

Too wet in many areas. Rough was too deep. Hard to find balls that were not bad shots. No cart beverages

I want to like this course as it's centrally located and easy to get but with some many courses in DFW, it's to recommend this one with so many other to choose from. The crazy thing is it could be a good track but I don't see the course putting much time and money into it. The greens were super furry and fairways were full of cracks and crevices. Worst of all, no water on the course! They do have a sign on the front door to fill up before heading out but come one, the heat index is 110 degrees. Buy some Igloo coolers and place them throughout. The staff was friendly and the bar area had great service and plenty of TVs.

Biggest issue for me was pace of play and lack of any marshaling. 2 foursomes we’re ahead of us that we’re all part of the same group and played super slow. No one ahead of them. Was a 5 hr round due to this on a Friday morning. Course starting to show heat stress and greens were underwhelming and longer. Better greens out there in $45-60 range.

Pretty slower playing at back 9 holes..

The fairways were hard as a rock. Felt like you were playing on concrete. The cart paths are beat up and multiple sprinkler heads were broken spewing water and flooding fairways. The greens are in a bad way with the green on 17 just being sand. Not worth the $48 I paid to play here.

Cart paths are in dire need of repair. Fairways are in need of repair. Greens are good. Where there is grass in the fairways it’s good. Trenches are terrible.

The fairways, tee box and greens were all in terrible conditions. The cart path seemed like you were traveling through a war torn zone. I didn’t even finish all 18 because of how poorly this course was maintained. Do not golf here. Seriously just spend your money else where.

Don’t even waste your time playing here if you consider yourself a golfer…

I’ll start with the good.

The staff was super nice and helpful, starter laced us up on the course and the trouble spots.

The greens are in pretty good shape.

With the being said, it look like they put the over pieces green fees into ONLY the greens.

They roll nice and are consistent over all.

Everything else on the course though is a disaster , bunkers look like they havnt been touched or groomed in years . The green bunker has ground under repair with water lines exposed, rock hard dirt, grass over grown and seems like it’s been under repair for a year. Actually, every bunker was in over all bad shape.

Fairways.,

There are good lies in the fair way for majority but to get to them make sure you go get an alignment from your local chiropractor afterwards.

Driving the tue fairways you can expect giant holes in the ground, cracks , bumps and awful terrain.

Even the cart paths look like they are from a post apocalyptic time. There’s massive breaks and missing pieces. Your gear will definitely fly out of your cart several times throughout the round, so keep an eye out for that.

There is ZERO water on course, ZERO. I guess they don’t know we are in Texas.

The price… INSANE, I probably wouldn’t be writing this review if the price wasn’t so insane.

$60 for a sat round. This is definitely a $40 Weeknd round and $30 weekday.

I have no idea what they are doing with the high fees, cause they are definitely not putting back into the course.

I dont know, maybe they are. Other reviews say they are.

But like I said, if you consider yourself a decent golfer… don’t waste your time.

No water on the course and fairways were In horrible conditions , bunkers sucked, greens were good that’s about it.
